Established in 1976 by Tony Mabesa, Dulaang UP is the country’s premiere academic theatre organization. Originally established as the production arm of UP’s Speech Communication and Theatre Arts Program, it has become a mentorship theatre company with a regular season.
Dulaang UP has been a vehicle for seasoned theatre artists to articulate their visions and to interact with theatre students through productions mounted by veteran and young directors.
Through their productions, Metro Manila audiences have witnessed masterworks of the world repertoire and original Filipino plays.
Dulaang UP has established a reputation for innovation and excellence in Theatre as a training ground for young talent, a venue for published and new works, and a source of new talent for local and international theatre, cinema, television and even the advertising industries

In this series of short interviews, Dulaang UP features a distinguished set of theatre practitioners and faculty members as they share the creative processes, influences, and collaborations that bring to life its consistently compelling productions. Learn how epics, classics, folk stories, and social movements alike are brought to the stage through the visions of Banaue Miclat-Janssen, Dexter M. Santos, Josefina F. Estrella, and Sir Anril P. Tiatco. As a training ground for future theatre artists, Dulaang UP provides opportunities for students to hone their skills by working with theatre professionals. Harriete Mozelle, Joshua Caesar Chan, and Steven Tansiongco also provide important insights into the nature of acting, production management, and graphics design from their experiences as students in Dulaang UP.

I've watched this for free when I was still SHS Student... It waa worth it and I love to watch this from time to time. Now, I'm studying at UP Diliman and I would say that theatrical plays like this in our university should never stop. It's a gem 😊
