Manakamana Temple Gorkha Nepal
Manakamana Temple is located in Gorkha District of Nepal. It is at the height of 1300 meters from the sea level. The temple can be reached from two main places, Kurintar Chitwan at Muglin-Kathmandu Highway and Aanbukhaireni at Muglin-Gorkha Bazar Highway. To reach the temple from the highway, there is facility of cable car from Kurintar whereas from Aanbukhaireni you can make about three to four hours of walk to the temple. Locally there are small vehicles like jeeps that carries pilgrims to the temples by road from both the places. However, the roads to the temple are yet to be upgraded to good condition.
The history of Manakamana marks from the seventeenth century during the reign of King of Gorkha Ram Shah. The temple was badly affected by the 2015 earthquake and is now reconstructed.
During the religious days and holidays, the number of pilgrims visiting the temple is very high. There are good hotels for accommodation for those who wants to stay there.

This view of mountains and Pokhara valley is seen from the Kahu hill lacated to the north of Pokhara valley. In the early spring we can see beautiful rhododendron flowers on the foreground of mountain range including beautiful the Fishtail (Machhapuchchhre), the Annapurna to the north and Pokhara valley to the south.
