You should have rotate it counter clock wise. as the arrow direction shows.
I might be able to get advice from friends and extended family. My grandson by choice is Congolese, and my granddaughter by choice ia Angolan. Maine has a large African immigrant population, and I have friends from all over the continent. French and Portuguese will get you by in the DRC and Angola. Learning Lingala and Swahili would be a good idea also. Perhaps visit before you commit? All of my friends came here because it's too dangerous to be there.
You've got a great way to put a video together and keep it moving. Very enjoyable.
Excellent project and video! This is about as minimalist as it gets, especially when you main tools are a crosscut saw, file, hammer and repurposed nails. I helped build a thatched hut in Mexico with only one tool -- a machete -- but your tiny house is much more complicated and substantial. Congratulations!
I recommend planting trees like figs, olives, apricots...you have 1000 subscribers...I will recommend your channel to my friends...Good luck Adam
What state is it in? As far as I understand, you are single and have no family. Tell me, please, where do you work? I would be very interested to know about your activities. Sorry for the curiosity.
❤
Put on gloves and long sleeves with that and don't use it in the line of your face like that...
It's really cool Adam. Do you plan to make any recipes with these corn or just sow it again?
The plan is to sow the seeds next year. And if I get a good harvest I'll definitely makes some delicious recipes. Adam's Off-grid Kitchen is in the making, lol.
Just subbed cool building were u at in ur adventure
Thank you so much for subscribing, I really appreciate it. For today's adventure I finished carving a tool carrier for my woodworking tools. I'm currently editing the video, although this video was made specifically for my Instagram account, so I probably won't upload it to TH-cam. I also practiced Swahili and played fetch with my dog until she lost the ball. How was your day today? What did you do?
@@adamsoffgridadventure it was good day
I do that, too! <3
Nice! How long have you been doing it?
Smart
Thanks!
We're living similar lives... in the middle of nowhere & no running vehicle... I use my steel utility cart/Gorilla Cart to transport my needs/supplies
Good idea! I have a wagon but I'm not allowed to bring it on the bus.
@@adamsoffgridadventure I want to try to convert it to an e-cart ... that would be a game changer for me or possibly some an animal to pull/run it... we'll see
@@EnhancedSimplicity A mule or donkey would be nice! But I need to move to Africa first before I take on the responsibility of a larger animal. What type of animal do you want to pull your cart?
Great Job!!
Thank you!
Exactly what I was looking for thank you great video
Thank you for watching! And I am glad that I was able to provide what you were looking for.
Very Nice. Congratulations
Thank you so much 😀
That turned out looking great! I have land in NM too and wanting to build something out of cob and earth bags eventually.
Thank you so much for your comment. I hope you are able to achieve your goal soon.

what a wonderful channel. thanks
Welcome!

that saw blade is very dangerous. check for warnings.
Will do! Thanks!
Very cool build
Thanks!
Unique structure! Very interesting
Thank you! Cheers!
I bet that's pretty cool inside, the thermal mass provides a lot of buffering against the sun. If it gets too much in summer, throw some kind of shade over the window on the outside, not just the inside - stop the heat before it ever comes in.
Great advice! Thank you so much!
The kernels need to have a dent, the sugars will be deleloped. Also the Hopi corn takes a couple of generations to adapt to the soil, i was told that by a Hopi and it is true, Saved my seed, and then did a row with fresh corn, big diffrence.
Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.
So what happens when it rains?
It gets wet.

Love the music. Is that you playing
No, it's not me playing. It's music that I got from TH-cam audio library.
Why haven't heard from you. ❤
Love you mom!
Cleaned up that anvil nicely.
Definitely!

Fire Blade!!!!!
Thanks cousin! The next blade I make is yours.
Amazing!
Thanks!
What kind of power source do you use
I have two sources of power: A Montek x1000 solar generator, and a PV system that includes a 1000 watt inverter, one deep cycle battery, a 275 watt solar panel (I think) and a charger controller. I did a factory reset on my tablet so I lost the group information, but feel free to call me on what's app if you have any further questions or want to see some visuals.
@@adamsoffgridadventure good👍👍
Very nice design. Especially for your first blade. Hopefully you can continue to grow your equipment. A belt grinder would produce even better results.
Thank you! A belt grinder sounds nice. But everything depends on the wattage the tool draws. Currently my power sources are limited. If I ever start making more money maybe I'll upgrade my PV system.
@@adamsoffgridadventure Ah, I see.

First of all good luck on your move and stay focused on your goals. I would definitely try to retain American citizenship. I think you are going to miss the desert. Even living in the south the amount of bugs you have to deal with is terrible. High levels of mosquitos and ticks make the outdoor life terrible. Mosquitos are even worse and carry deadly disease in parts of Africa. Maybe find a place in Africa with a similar environment that your in now.
Thank you for your advice!
Also, sorry for the late reply. TH-cam didn't notify me of your comment, but now that I have the TH-cam Studio app I see that I haven't responded to many comments.
