too many cheaters using snipers have nerfed them out of existence... There was a time you could flick your way out of a 3v1 with just a sniper. Every map it seems to be catered towards shotguns and ability spam, Bungie is afraid of the long distance combat, and doesn't have the resources to detect aim bots.

guardian rank system is definitely one of the reasons that the game has died so drastically. most paragons are C tier skill and dont even know advanced strats or mechanics. i have been a paragon, and can easily contrast that i have seen more skill in rank 5's and 6's than rank 11. so many rank 11's have no idea what they're doing in the grand scheme of advanced strategies

Skill base matchmaking actually makes the game worse.

When rapid fire snipers were actually useful

it really sucks ass how much theyve killed snipers with the flinch, its to the point where half of the time its completely random if you land a shot or not in my experience at least.

the only thing that really changed was the special economy

I maintain that subclass 3.0 and the armor mods being simplified/stripped down did immense amounts of damage to Destiny's sandbox. Charged With Light and Font mods made the game interesting and was *actual* buildcrafting. "Builds" right now are three surges and an exotic, nothing terribly interesting about them. I also *miss* the subclass diamonds; felt like they could do more novel things because they had trade-offs (Inertia override, Flawless Executioner, Handheld Supernova, Icarus Dash, etc). Now people equip all the same items because there's no downside to it. On the other hand, I am in a love-hate relationship with the special ammo changes; I quite enjoy that I'm not getting mapped by fusions or getting sniped constantly, but it definitely slowed the game to a crawl in many lobbies. I kind of... miss it now? Yeah, people did goofy things to me with a special weapon, but I had equal access and opportunity to use those tools against them. I wish we knew about (and were grateful for) what we had back then.

It was basically the launch destiny 1 experience all over again. Not that challenging, really grindy for no real upgrades and the gear looked pretty basic. All in all, a perfect event

I mean the hardest part of playing destiny 2 is paying 20 dollars for 1 exotic sniper A 1/3 of the price of the dlc 💀

Getting the title really wasnt that hard, except for getting Justiciar since I never got that ever before. The engrams wasnt hard either, I just changed the date on my ps5 to a few days ahead, loaded up into the skywatch and farmed the ogre, then the high value enemy if it spawned in. Took about an hour. The among friends part was easy too since I have a ps5 and my pc together so I loaded up my brothers account on the ps5 and my own account and the pc and did some private matches that would automatically complete because there was no enemy lol
