Thing is. Dawn didn’t know how buffy came back but took care of her immediately. Was less spastic than Buffy’s friends. But. Even back then. Most places have vaults for coffins because of sea levels apparently.

I loved "after Angel left" Spike. Hated they tried to make him assault Buffy. It was irritating and unnecessary. Instead of making the Scooby Squad be understanding and excepting, they made them judgey. But like, forgave Willow when she went all ape poop after Tara died. And they excepted what's her face, vengeance demon chick, so, why not Spike? They kept him like a pit dog. Out to fight but out of circle otherwise. If they'd stopped being judgey buttholes, she wouldn't have felt guilty and ashamed to be with him. I mean, he sacrificed himself to save the world. They totally did him dirty.

I have always shipped Buffy and Spike as the endgame. While I shipped Cordelia and Angel as the endgame in the spinoff.

I remember the musical episode. Everyone expected Buffy to been through hell while she was dead, but in the musical eposide, she sang "I think I was in heaven." That hurt.

Spike and Dawn were really the only ones that treated Buffy kindly when she first came back. The others all sort of came at her, asking her a ton of questions and expecting her to be fine too quickly.

Spike was better for Buffy than Angel ever was

Buffy was in heaven but Spike was in hell for 147 days. This is my favourite scene in the whole season.

You know, im still surprised that Spike didnt hurt Xander when he found out about Buffy and how she was brought back. He was thinking about Buffy...because someone had too.

I don't know whether anyone else saw the imagery that I saw in this scene. Spike kneels at Buffy's feet in preparation to wash her wounded hands. Every time I've seen this, I think of Mary Magdalene kneeling before Jesus to wash his feet. (I am not a religious person; I just see parallels sometimes. If you don't see it, that's cool.)

For me, it was always Spike.

In my opinion Spike is stronger than Angel. While Angel's soul was a punishment, Spike choose and fought for hiss soul.

I hated this season, but I forget about some of the hi-lights like this scene. They rui ed Spike and Buffy in the end,but there were a few amazing moments.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but after many rewatch sessions I don't get the hype with Bangel anymore! And I noticed something I was watching that scene where Angel and Cordelia kiss for the first time, someone said he actually had a secret lust for Cordy in BTVS as well and I have to agree! The way Angel acted in "I will remember you" and how he moved on with Cordelia Idk... now I have the impression this big soulmate love was more from Buffy's side than Angel, he showed many times how he wanted to move on and tbh Cordelia and Faith are more Liam's type than Buffy, he loved Buffy because she gave him a purpose, a reason to start again when he was cursed with a soul but he didn't love her to the point he saw himself living the rest of his life with her... With Spike it's a whole another story: William went through a beautiful journey, yes the chip was crucial but deep inside he started to embrace the fight against the evil, he fell for the slayer without his soul, his actions as an evil vampire show more soul than Angel himself in my opinion, he took care of Dawn, he counted the days Buffy was gone, he helped the Scoobies not because of the chip but because he wanted to, you can see it in "All the way" when he tells a vampire he's the rebel, he doesn't want to be part of the evil, he gained and wanted his soul back , Angel only got his soul back because of an ancient curse. Spike is the most evolved, matured character in the series, the way he got better and better and changed so much is amazing.

I wonder why he had to claw his way out of a coffin, if Dru wanted to sire him. Why didn't she keep his body somewhere until he wakes up? And his mother didn't know he was dead, so there was no funeral.

But Spike had not done it. The most traumatic thing for Buffy was not digging her way out of her coffin. She was ripped away from Heaven because 1) her friends could not bear to be without her, and 2) she could not even escape the expectations and pressure everyone put on her by dying. She was done, in bliss, relieved of all of that and was dragged back down into it again. Spike knew what it was like to come back, clawing his way up, but had no idea what it was like to be pulled down from bliss.

he has no soul here..spike is the strangest vampire I have ever known of..as a demon only he still felt love..as much as he could.he is tender and careful..no soul. screw angel

I realize that after everyone found out Buffy was pulled out of Heaven everyone talked about making things better for Buffy but no one ever did instead they still turned to her for a plan. I mean I know nothing can actually make Buffy's life picture perfect because she's the slayer and all but maybe Willow could've gotten a job because while Buffy was dead Willow was spending the money that was Buffy's and didn't think "Oh since Buffy's broke because I spent up all her money and then decided to bring her back to life maybe I can get a job and help pay some bills since I'm not planning to move back into the dorm". It would've been nice if everyone tried.

This is about when I stopped watching the show. Didn't like the Dawn character. Didn't like Spike/Buffy.

Every time I re-watch the show, every time I see a clip I am reminded of what an extraordinary show this was. A perfect cast, brilliant writing and very much under-appreciated. Buffy and Willow should have been garnering Emmys every year. To anyone who thinks this was simply a cartoonish show, that is short-sighted thinking. Buffy was edge of your seat drama, wonderful comedy and offered what every show should provide - entertainment.

For all his clowning Spike was actually the second most powerful member of the Scooby Gang after Buffy herself.

I love Spike' complexity. He is one of my favorite characters and the chemistry between Buffy and Spike was off the charts.
