Butt ugly. I'm sure it's a fine machine, but by the mid 70's, the Brits lost all reality and this was the result.

Não entendi essa alavanca ao lado do tanque. Também não vi embreagem e no pé esquerdo não há um pedal de câmbio como nas motos japonesas. Fiquei com a impressão de ser uma motocicleta com câmbio automático... Assistindo no Brasil🇧🇷

it seems you are running this beauty with a magneto but under the seat there is a high volt coil .... why ???

@@HubLoz 2:54 right in the middle of the screen a think that looks like a small black bottle. Some sort of red at the top and two fat wires coming out .... that really looks like a ignition coil and it is placed where the original ignition coil should be.
In fact, at the time of the video there was the original reel, which I later deleted. if you look closely, there is no high voltage wire coming out of this coil.

I've come back for a second comment. Sweet, weren't Harleys great back when. And the stares you would get when you were shifting it. I never worried about some one stealing it, they were fearful of that damn "suicide shifter" Since 1981, I haven't had any use for newer Harleys.

Looks just like my 75. Same color. Same tank shift and rocker clutch. I called her The Gray Lady. I still have her.

I for one consider it a real Gold Star as it performed brilliantly in 24 hour races in the '70's (2nd at Barcelona 24 hour between 2 SFC Laverdas isn't to be sniffed at). I had a rough example as my first bike when I was 15, back in '76. It hated starting, the front brake was almost useless and it leaked and burned oil. So much stiction in the forks that they hardly moved. But it used to do 90MPH after school when I put 20 cents of petrol in it and took it up the road for a blast with my T shirt on. The vibes didn't really worry me - nothing to compare it to I suppose. Even when I lost an engine mount bolt it didn't worry me. I would like another one now - please can the new BSA firm just remake this with modern brake and suspension? I'd be happy.

This is not a Gold Star. It is just a Victor with an older, more respected name on it. This is one reason for the demise of BSA.

Cool bike, and cool dog. Funny how the dogs walking around the bike barking at it, I had a German Shepard that barked at my lawnmower and tried to bite the wheels while I'm trying to mow the lawns.
