DEPLOYED Bubble Tech Take Two
A better, hopefully, illustration of the 'bubble' tech used in DEPLOYED, for allowing the entire map to be populated. Memory is the only issue.

The fundamentals will give me a more interesting world on day one with any new modules. This means: not having to wait for someone else or spend a long time building something that soon bores you because you know what's going to happen. Or like a book (even a really good one) is a mostly static campaign, read/play once, then done.
The campaigns in DEPLOYED can, in theory, can run forever; the Bad Guy resistance will taper off, then level out.
As I've tried to get across: this isn't for everyone - not instant action. The communications system and environment may seem 'complicated' but in reality are HIGHLY simplified. For several reasons.

    This is sad and ridiculous when the community has to create something the developers should be able to do themselves. This is awesome. DCS World's environments seem so sterile. This radio chatter and interaction brings so much more immersion to the simulator. I hope ED sees this and reaches out to you for input. I could see this being used by virtual squadrons around the world. Please keep going with this.

      I see a few reasons it hasn't happened - just a wild guess on my part, really, could be way off but: 1) This is not a 'mechanical' or 'physical' thing: not a knob you can turn and then X happens, followed by Y, Z... Or a physics problem. 2) People, or not enough of them, truly want this level of realism. Why I don't plan to take it too far in that department. I could but it would be a massive amount of work all on it's own. You have to have complete control over the DCS AI aircraft too. 3) Related to 2: Many people want what I've come to call, "Hight Fidelity, Instant Action". (C) :) 4) The players have to know what they are doing; the real world system would fold up in 5 minutes if the pilots weren't well trained and educated on the "system'. Thanks for the comment BTW.

    Holy crap and you modeled stepping on a transmission. Epic Now you just have to get a periodic "Meow" and all the old timers barking about being in "Guuuaaaarrd"

      Ha ha. I've some interesting, mostly hilarious, things. And yeah, you'll have to make sure to monitor Guard for some tasking (of course you should all the time? :) )

      Thanks. It's pretty easy to adjust. You run out of space quick; 50 radius is 100 NM across and encroaches on others in the 'Med. IRL they have ways to work this out dynamically.

    Sounds interesting, I understand that this is for single player only, If I'm not mistaken you started that project in 2023, you put a lot of work into this

So in 2021, after 2 years of waiting, I realized the platform wasn't going to give me what I wanted. So I hit the books and here we [almost] are. Have to do it yourself sometimes. DCS is still missing 2 or 3 key items that would make this better but I'm pressing ahead anyway. The fundamentals will give me a more interesting world on day one with any new modules. This means: not having to wait for someone else or spend a long time (the irony?) of building something that soon bores me because I know what's going to happen.
