Beautiful, Mike. Simple is indeed the good thing; it frees up time too. All that micing, mixing, takes what; this times five? More? For relatives, friends, students, fellow drummers, this gets your voice across perfectly fine, which is the cake. So many people bury themselves in the icing, which, for really busy people like you and me, is a trap. I think this was awesome, Sir. Those ghosts on the BD from 3:10 were mighty, mighty sweet. With your simplicity came the subtlety, perfectly. Drummers that we are, it's easy to understand the temptation to use technology to bring that very cool shit more upfront, which would have, for the discriminating listener (or a real teacher), killed the beauty of that great thing you did. It was awesome, and if you're wondering about the sound, it came across elegantly. Just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions... Satoko has two; one she has to feed, then sleep with... Looks like you're doing great, Brother. Keep up the good work. Really enjoyed that Pink Cow solo too: Syncolicious.
