For a beginner, I’d recommend a soft plastic stick bait like the Yamamoto Senko (or a more affordable alternative like Yum Dingers). These are incredibly versatile, easy to use, and can catch a variety of species, especially bass. Here's why they're beginner-friendly: Ease of Rigging: You can rig them weedless using a Texas rig or simply wacky rig them (hooked in the middle) for great results. No Fancy Techniques Needed: Just cast, let it sink, and give it small twitches or let it sit. Fish love the natural movement. Affordable Options: Yum Dingers, Zoom Trick Worms, or Berkley Power Baits are budget-friendly and still effective. Grab a pack of green pumpkin or watermelon red flake-those colors work in almost any water clarity. Pair it with a simple offset worm hook and some inexpensive bullet weights, and you’re ready to go! One get the pre rig stOrm swimming baits will be one in your box in what ever bait fish in your pawn or lake. Or just a good worm me watermelon pepper red flakes. South is different though.

@@OCD_nomore must of the time you may be fishing the bottom with structure which causes hookup like rocks, or unknown structures... to avoid this issue, pop and retrieve
