The cheap prizes even after IBA's limits were lifted made the Australian version look luxurious.
This is pure Alan Partridge
I watched this when i was 9 and would shit myself to this theme tune. Guilt kicked in, shouldnt have taken that £1 from dad jacket. 😅

The theme tune was composed by Robert Howes. Yep, the same Robert Howes who is also the head of his children's independent TV production company titled The Children's Company Limited.

I cannot believe how much cheaper the British adaptation of _Wheel_ got.
“Mom, your silhouette’s singing!”
Don’t remember this man
I love how everyone referred to him simply as "Kilroy". It's like he was a rock star like Sting or someone.
11Years later welcome to modern TH-cam
Matthew kelly is stars in your eyes
0:38 even in 1989 he had shafting tendencies!
God they really did kill the series with this daytime version.
Apart from being Sue Barker's first episode, this edition also had 2 future captains Frankie Dettori and Phil Tufnell
"Don't have nightmares!"
I really like Paul and Terri and this version of the show, they're both friendly and a great watch. I wish they did more episodes.
Reminds me not to stop at UK council estates. 😁😁
Any crime especially Murder or Robbery can happen anywhere in the UK you weirdo.
i love Paul 😍😍💓 xxxxxxxxx 🥰🤩
Sue Barker's inaugural episode as the new quizmaster, nearly 24 years ago.
It’s as if the music is screaming KILLL RROOOYYY
Love that retro title at 0:28
that globe interlude was brilliant
The whole "that's me!" thing is very cringe and err also unnecessary LOL
Does any have any views on the guitar tab ?, always loved the riff.
I forgot about Paul Hendy hosting this
They are showing Paul's episodes on challenge started today at 12pm

No wonder this show was on it's last legs. Where is the car prize?, where are the holiday prizes?? Why are they offering a measly £2,000 as the top prize(having been £20k before)??? Yeah....i'd be very enthusiastic about coming on a show too if i knew that the potential reward would be a very limited range of rejected store items and MAYBE enough money to pay for a life-saving operation for my sick, old, dying dog....
Woah, he's.....different.
Isn’t that Simon Cowells ex

although the 2001 female presenter (Terri) Appeared Before John Left The Programme
I was on his show a couple of times, and Kilroy was the king of the chat show hosts. If you went on The Time The Place everyone shuffled in and largely took a seat where they wanted. Esther was the same but worse: she was hopeless and couldn't control the discussion. When you went on Kilroy everyone's seat had their name on it, and Kilroy knew who everyone was and why they were there! You couldn't see it on the air, but off camera he was conducting the show like a conductor directs an orchestra, bringing people in and shushing them out so that everything was just how he wanted it. Such a loss to TV when it all came to an end!
Well said! This was a great show in it's time. Kilroy came across as fair, intelligent and articulate . There hasn't been another talk show that has come close since.
This is the same episode the Red Devil’s Challenge failed for the third time and Matthew Kelly’s forfeit was being apart of the starlight express in front of the audience and the Celebrity guests
This theme tune used to make you shat yourself if you were a 1980s granny bungalow burglar. That was back when the police were still beetroot faced 7ft giants aswell
Testing the water with You Bet on a Saturday, no doubt. Didn't it end up in a regular slot on Saturday nights eventually though? I think the Darren Day series did, if not any others.
Best Crimewatch titles so far. Music still gives me shivers.
Sorry we don't know them John leeslie and Jenny
Does anyone have the guitar tab to this ?
Why this cracked me up I’ll never kno hahaha
@@TrevJericho Don’t be a Kilroy , killjoy .
It's got about 5 notes... This could be your time to shine... Create the Tab dude... Create it! Lol
This is the May 21, 1987 episode. Among the main reconstructions that night were: - The mysterious death of 26-year-old secretary Shani Warren who was found bound and gagged in Maidenhead's Taplow Lake on April 18, 1987. There is some controversy to this day about whether this was a murder or suicide. Still unsolved. - The killing of 66-year-old widow Helen Fleet as she walked her dogs in Worlebury Woods near Weston-super-Mare on November 30, 1986. Still unsolved.
"..a jackpot of £2000!". By their rate of deflation, the jackpot would be a book token by now.
97channel £5,000-£10,000 would have been a fine jackpot after £20,000 was reduced.
I wouldn't say no to 2 grand today!
How come the green wedge was missing from this wheel configuration?
Stars in Their Eyes' original opening titles were used from series 1 up until The Elvis Special.

She is so trying to be Jenny Powell
I have always hated a question of fucking sport. My grandad liked it though... bless him ^^'
Agreed 👍
There is only 24 of the Paul Hendey episodes though, compared to over 300 Leslie episodes.
