All you are going to want to do is get back there but it's the whole song
I've been meaning to do this for a while, so here it is. It could probably use a bit of polish, but overall I still think it's a pretty good recreation.

Adding this to my mix
This song is fit for all languages to be sung in for the message it conveys. Particularly the old english and latin versions are wonderful. They are performed by the skaldic bard.
I love the detail of it starting with the first few notes of the German national anthem, to really drive the point home.
🇫🇷✊⚔️🏴
Best version with captioning.
Different enemy now but the words ring true wake up Scotland for fk sake we're being sold out again
If i had to choose between Scotland and i would choose England l.. Hi form Scotland
On which album can I find this version, please?
@@Leon_der_Luftige Scottish Battle Balads. That also applies to the versions of The Wee German Lairdie and Stirling Brig I uploaded.
@@epicepicmk Ah, alright. I got the Album "Battles & ballads of Scotland" and its a bit different. I prefer this version here. Thanks Sadly the album is hard to come by here in Germany.
The people who governed Scotland from 2020 to this point are the neo parcel of rogues.
at least this jock was self aware!
Scotland the land free and true.
Lairdie
Lairdie
It's so much easier to hear the German anthem in this version. Listened to an 8-bit version of Deutschland and the beginning is literally the same as here. Those Scots really know how to make a good diss.
Free Scotland
lets restore kingdom of jerusalem
It sounds Germanic
Maybe due to the word order? The words are modern, but the arrangement of words are unique.
It is. The original is in old German, you can find it easily enough
@@lapantony , probably another reason.
@@trevorlee7953 Well could be because English is a Germanic language after all, the pronunciation is a bit weird but listening to it in german too much has made us believe English souds like german
@@GladiusRomae , modern English and modern German are not to close in terms of the words they use imo. If we’re talking about going a couple hundred years back then they’re are VERY similar. As some have said, English isn’t one language, it’s a few languages in a trench coat.
I love the old english
The real military mind was Sir Andrew Moray. Sadly he died from his wounds soon after.

Isn't the correct lyric "broken the harp of Irish clowns"?
It’s amazing where the Irish ended up!
I like this version as well as many others. Good job and keep up the great work friend. Are you able to do my mother told me in old Norse version but in English? And I do not mean the ones that other youtubers had remade or made or used. Im talking about really translating. The real old Norse version to English. If you can not do this then that is fine. Also great work friend. :)

Sorry, but listening to a Jacobite song and seeing the video of the images of their enemies such as the Hannovers, Soija Comburgo and Battemguer, seems very contradictory to me.
You show all those kings and queens who ARE German 😂

As an englishman I drowned in this song. Super catchy.

There is no ancient Scottish fame or ancient glories.
Yes there is we kicked the S:%t out of ancient Rome can the English say the same
@@craigkelly4278 The Romans conquered Scotland twice, both times they withdrew as it was economically worthless.

Scotland as a small country of random tribes fought off the Romans, Vikings and English only to be sold out by their own people. Farewell our ancient glory
there's even a noise on the background of music very cool
The part of Ireland that the map shows looks similar to South Korea. Great song.

You had a better version that you uploaded very recently. Did it get deleted?
I'm sorry, but I never uploaded any other version of this song (unless you want to include the crappy 8-bit version).
@epicepicmk Hmm I must be mistaken. Perhaps someone else uploaded a different version. I enjoyed this one as well anyhow. Thanks for uploading.
This song was originally sung in a German language as it is a song of the Teutonic Order sung by its knights. The crusades were a very interesting time!
Not at all, this song is a poem by the Minnesanger Walther von Vogelwide. It's a civilian song.
I am Greek and for some reason I just can't stop listening to this 😅🤷
Didn't Greek also overthrow their wee bit German king imposed by Englans?
