I was so excited when I finally got my leather ones and they tore both of my feet so badly that I had to return them. I got him in the shearling and 100% better. I got my normal size and they were fine. It just shows that everyone should try everything on because what works for one might not work for another and vice versa . That being said, I don’t walk around in them all day long because they do become a little uncomfortable. I wear them around my house and to run errands. The Orans are a lot more comfortable for me. Have 12 pairs. Never had to break in. Love your video!

Hi Mae, loved your story and am so happy that you were able to get your Constance Slim. I think your point about being nervous when asking is a very good one. In my experience, Hermes definitely wants to make a confident customer happy - no matter how big or small the purchase is. You and I have a similar style profile that is a little different than the usual H client and I actually think they would love to cultivate more folks like us to represent the brand. Let me quickly share my experience at Sevre and.FSH here with you and maybe that will help you feel pumped about your next visit to Pars. My friend and I went to Paris for a 9 day girls trip, and while I am a long time client of H across categories, I had never been a fan of their bags until Mini Lindy fever became endemic for all the low key fashion ladies. As a fan of the Loewe puzzle, I thought the ML would be great for me, so anyway, off we go to Paris on a Thursday night from NYC. I apply for the 1st appointment from the lounge, and am rejected by dinner time the evening we land. No biggie. Day 2, I bring my friend (who works in fashion) to Sevres - I'm wearing Pleats Please, in a Loewe trench coat, and carrying a rare Westwood bag from the 90s. My friend is wearing a Margiela bag. I'm wearing TEVA's, lol. She's wearing dirty white JW Anderson platform Converse. We don't look anything like the standard clients, but it's clear to them as soon as we walk through the door that we are SERIOUS shoppers. I'm hunting for some pieces of silver so we go straight to the jewelry department and are greeted and offered coffee and champagne. The sales person who is also a manager in distribution is a cool girl. We hit it off, and we tell her that were in Paris for a shopping bender, and i'm up front and tell her that I am looking for an appointment, and she's like I can't help you, but i'm gonna track down all the jewelry you want. She disappears for 15 minutes and comes back with all the pieces that I want - I am very pumped - my friend is looking on, and is like I need some of that too - at this point were like tipsy because it's 11 am and were morning drinking - the sa/manager gets my friend a pair of the croisette hoop earrings that have been sold out in America for 3 years, and she's like im gonna wear these bitches out right now. Then she gets some makeup and a pair of shoes for me. We get rung up and she starts a profile for me and is tapping all kind of notes into her phone. I can see this happening right in front of me. She walks us out and gives us suggestions on where to go for the best designer vintage. Off we go! The next 3 days, I wake up every morning and apply and we go about our day - shopping, eating, more eating and more shopping - every night at 10 pm, I get the rejection email but I don't really care. By day 6, i'm resigned to the fact that I won't be getting an appointment. I wake up Friday morning - my 2nd to last night in Paris and decide to hop in a 5 minute Uber to FSH - my first visit to the store on this trip. I'm like 10th in line. The store opens, and i'm just curious to shop - I go to shoes first, and get helped by a nice lady who gets me a pair of Chypres and she tells me that they will be on hold for me and that I should shop around. I then wander off to small leather goods - grab a passport cover - needed a new one - and a bag charm for a bag that I don't even have yet lol, Next up is fashion jewelry - I pick up two pieces as gifts for friends. I wander over to the little makeup area and the guy was like let me put some highlighter on you - so I let him but dont buy anything. - he gives me free samples anyway lol. Then I decide to take a break and check my twitter so I go upstairs and sit at a table and do a little bit of being extremely online. At around noon, I text my friend and tell her to meet me at Bottega Veneta down the street at 1230. I make my way back downstairs to figure out where how to pay for all my stuff and then I see a couple asking about a cancellations at the appointments check-in area. They are politely turned away. I decide i'm gonna try the same thing. I go up to the guy and im like: "hi, i know you get asked this 100 times an hour and I apologize in advance if this is annoying but is there any chance of fitting me in for a quick appointment today, it's my second last night in Paris and i've been unsuccessful at the lottery. He smiles and is like let me have your phone number or email - so I give it to him - he pulls up my account - reads the notes and tells me to go have a seat by the straw horses, and that i'll have an appointment in 10 minutes. Sure enough, in exactly10 minutes, a woman comes over to me and is like follow me madam. She takes me up to the second floor - takes my drink order - comes back and says what would you like today? So I tell her that I am after a Mini Lindy in gold with gold hardware or a Picotin 18 in a very specific shade of orange with palladium hardware - orange minium is the color. She's like, only orange? And I say yes orange minium with palladium for P18, and gold with with gold for ML. She's like, ok, i'll be right back. At this point, my friend is in the store, so I tell her to come to the second floor and find me in the little alcove area. SA disappears for 15 minutes. My friend arrives just as the SA is coming back and she's got another SA with her and they each have 3 boxes - 6 in total and im like WTF? I introduce my friend to the SAs and SA number two is like would you like something to drink to my friend - my friend asks for an espresso. She disappears and SA number 1 tells me to go to the third floor and meet her there - so we comply- 5 minutes later - we are all assembled on a couch - and the party begins - SA 1 pulls our the P18 in the exact specs and i'm shocked by how much I love the color. I tell her its HOT. She laughs. She then pulls out the ML in the exact specs as I requested and I'm like omg -what do I do ? And she's like isnt this what you wanted? I'm like, yes but can I buy both? She's like yes, these are not quota bags, you may have both. I am floored. My friend is floored. I accept both. SA 2 then opens up a box with a herbag in khaki and brown - and my friend is like thats pretty cool - can I buy that? SA 2 says Yes of course. SA 2 opens up a box with an medium Evelyn in Rouge H - we decline. Then SA 1 opens up the final box and says you may or may not like this, you didnt ask for it but I thought you would like to see it - out comes a Kelly 28 in a crazy shade of dark grey, maybe Gris Meyer. At this point, I'm confused by whats happening but also elated. I decline and tell her that the Kelly just is not me but that I would consider a Birkin 25 in Noir with palladium in a leather like Chevre. Shes like no Birkins left today but we'll get you what you want next time - And that was that! After that my friend wanted to get another ring to match her new earrings so we got that sorted out - and then we paid and skipped Bottega and went back to our hotel to drop off our bags, and take a power nap before going to another round of vintage stores in the Marais. I should clarify that when the SA at Sevres started my profile for Paris, she could not see my US purchase history at all. But what she did experience was my genuine excitement at being offered several pieces of jewelry that i'd been trying to buy in the US for 5 years. She also really loved that I loved the new skincare makeup range, and could see that we love fashion through the lens of art and creativity.My spend at Sevres was not high, but not low - I think it was around 1600 euro, but everything I bought that day is something that I really love, and she could definitely see that. She noted this in my account, so that by the time I get to FSH days later with 5 failed appointments behind me, all of this is already recorded into my profile. This is, in my opinion, why I was able to get squeezed in for an appt when I took a chance and asked politely but confidently. They do absolutely profile people and they make unconventional decisions on how they want their product represented in the mass market. You certainly are someone I think they would delight in offering a bag. But you do need to go in with confidence and get those pieces you want because you love them! I am def going back in Oct or possibly July to try my luck for maybe a Constance 18 in black with palladium, or I'm also interested in the Della Cavalleria bag as well. Hope you get offered a bag the next time you go and thanks for sharing your experience!

I’m so going to try these. I have problematic feet and have been wearing Skechers coz they don’t cause me pain, but it sounds like the Chypre sandals are worth considering. Thanks for sharing! 💖🌸

Great video ❤ I don’t own the oran or the Chypre yet but always thought I would get a pair of gold Oran at some point. Tried them on a few months ago and just didn’t like them on my foot and with my personal style. My sa recommended the Chypre and have ordered them in for me. This video have helped convince me that the Chypre are better for me. For someone with a slightly more edgy style I feel that the Chypre is a better choice ❤️

The Alma BB in black is so cute and elegant at the same time. I’m an Alma lover, almost an addict, and have been trying so hard not to add a black BB to my collection because I already have 3 Alma 😅 and many black handbags. Somehow, I think I’ll cave in at some point 😅. The Hermes Jige clutch is such a beauty, but I will admire her from afar because I need the option of a top handle or a strap. I go back and forth about the Boy bag. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t. I don’t know… maybe it’s because I haven’t heard many positive reviews about it. Or it could be the colour. I really like it now that I’m seeing it in black though 🖤. Enjoy your beauties!

I love their belt, cardholder, bracelet, sandals, but I don't like Kelly nor birkin to be very honest. If I want a fancy bag, I won't choose these bc they look so regular everyday bags. Just don't understand why ppl love BKC so much

Nice items!! The Empire sandals are beautiful but, hurt my feet! Chypre are amazing too but, cut my foot up so badly. I returned and got in shearling and so comfy!! Love Orans. Have approx approx 10 pair. The clutch is a forever piece and a great investment! Probably more then doubled in price already!
