Screw all politics and screw this twisted election. What could be more American than NRBQ and Captain Lou? Nothing! "Can't we all just get along?"...George "The Animal" Steele🎉.
I saw Captian Lou perform this with NRBQ in about 1992.
Have always loved this song!
That's some fantastic guitar work.
this is the band that did the great album 'workshop' .. from early 70s ...
Captain Lou represented class and dignity in and outside the squared circle during his career in the 20th century.
Back in the days when hope for the future ran wild..
yes .. we're showing our age ...
He wrote some melodies that I will cherish till my dying day ... thanks John ... RIP
Captain Lou was at his best with the Valiant Bros..... MERCY!!!
SPFLD MA on board.love you guys . Insane is normal.
Captain Lou was the greatest ever, could entertain like no other.
Yes,this is it! The world should now be saved!!!
I would've loved to hear 5 albums by Big Al, John and Terry and a long tour. NEW SONGS TOO!
♥♥♥♥♥♥
❤
I could of guessed they would of covered this one lol
Psychedelic pandemonium!
Spectacular. Beach Boys meets Monk. Adams is such a complete genius. He makes living on Earth a much happier place as does Ligon and all the Q before him.
Often imitated ....never duplicated 🙂
Lou Albano played the role of Captain Lou Albano so well. He was a very nice, generous man.
❤
As always, great performance.
I grew up with Al (a couple of years younger) in Windsor Ct and followed him through the Wildweeds years and NRBQ. The Wildweeds inspired my music career and I bought my first bass amp from Al Lepak JR when he was with the Wildweeds. Awesome video…
OK, now you're dating yourself. I used to dance to the Wildweeds at a couple of venues in West Hartford in the day. What a fun time. OK, I just dated myself, too! LOL!
This couldn't have been recorded in 81. Albano snuka feud came later. Ty
Wrestling used to be weird and fun.
I saw John Sebastian with the Q at The Calvin Theater Anniversary Shows.
Albano was a funny heel.
Playing the autoharp...too cool. Their best song
that was great
He’s got Sharp teeth like Rin Tin Tin !!! 😂
One of my favourite songs from this band's line up now.
Unreal
it's psychedelic pandemonium
I attended the NRBQ Wax shows. As I recall they played there in consecutive Decembers and I think J.Seb was with them both times. And I specifically remember them playing this tune. It was pure joy for them and the audience.
I was at one of the shows. I was a big NRBQ fan and never got to see The Spoonful live. So, this was really special. NRBQ were perfect backing up J Sebastian.
When you say "Wax" do you mean the Wax Theater in DC? Saw them (as well as many other groups) at the Wax all the time, great place for music!
2 trickster geniuses, 2 peas in one fabulous pod.
Awesome! I luckily was able to see John Sebastian play at the Iron Horse in Northampton, Massachusetts sometime in the 80s. I greatly admire his music. Legendary!
Nice venue. Was last there in 1981.
YES OOHH MY GOSH THE 😍😭💖💕DAYS OF RADIO LISTENING 🎶😢😭😍VERRRRRRRY COOOOOOOL SONG 🎵ALWAYS TIMELESS 💘😻💜💛💚🧡💘😻💜💛💚🧡💘😻💜💛💚
Joer, pues por qué no puede ser un éxito de ventas? Aunque era 1977 y ya, tal vez habían sido abandonados por la crítica y la industria.
What a natural fit, all they would have needed was Zal to join in.
I was at that show!
God Bless Captain Lou, The Guiding Light! RIP
Genius!
Love this!!
Great song! Great Band!
Is this whole show available anywhere?
wow ... I'm having an epiphany.. Elvis Costello got an awful lot from John Sebastian
Best rock band still to this day
Maker of tag team champions!! Hey!
GREAT editing job U!!!!!
Thanks for the upload!
