You're currently talking about hope and sacrificial love. 2 points I've heard that REALLY helped me with this part- For you to truly love unconditionally, YOU have to be included in that love or by definition it isn't unconditional and whole. & What is truly loving that other person? Maybe it's removing their ability to abuse you. Reframing it as sacrificing in that way. "I love you so much that I won't allow you to have to suffer the guilt and karma or consequences of the way you're treating me"
