Panerai and in house movements

There has been much talk about Panerai and in-house movements, but what does it mean to be truly in-house and how much does it matter?

Can you gift me please its my dream watch im from India🇮🇳
Love this watch. Great choice for the straps. Curious, do you still have it in your collection?
Still have it and will be keeping it!
I think the main issue that you didn’t mention is, Panerai talks in-house because it did / keeps doing price hikes of 20-30%+ and arguments it with beeing „in-house“. I would much prefer if Panerai would not call the movements in-house and therefore prices of the current models is lower. The „only“ reason in house is much more expensive is because of the R&D costs and time to develop these movements. That is what upsets people the most about Panerai, that they are in fact still using off the shelf movement but not calling it that.
It happens with most watches, bet Rolex are off the shelf to making a million a year they must be.
Could you please spell the place where you got the vintage seiko?

Thanks for sharing your collection. I have a 372 that I wear often and really enjoy a lot. As you mentioned, I like the fact that it points toward the design of the 1950's luminors
👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just got my 5626-7113 serviced, and it's running at less than one second per day. Averaged over the last two weeks, ten seconds slow. I'm darned impressed. It was running at three seconds fast from Japan when I got it. It's a 74, so it doesn't have the medallion, which collectors seems to like, but it does have the screwback which has it's advantages. From what I've seen, the medallion tends to get worn out, so that's the drawback of those. The only problem with the 7113 is the gold plated brass, which can get knicked and scratched, and you can't polish it much without exposing the brass. Mine is in good shape though, not perfect after fifty years, but very presentable. Just feels like you need to be more careful, not to hit it against anything.
Tudor should make a 2025 day dates
Actually, I think this model is nearer 37mm than 36mm, and a such it was a large watch for the period. Most sports-dress watches at this time (e.g. Omega Constellation) would have been 34mm or 35mm.
Very good video - beautiful collection - seeing these models with the simple face (no complications) have made me really appreciate that look. I really like all the models you have…..I’m hoping to get the PAM 00564 that I purchased soon, but I would love to have a Submersible and a larger more statement piece (00422 or 01356) as well. I really like your taste in these Panarai models, and that has opened my eyes to a different style.
@@OEFVet0405 Thanks. So happy to hear and hope you enjoy your 564.
Nice strap btw dude
Love it. Don't ever let this one go.
Amazing collection!
You buy a panerai for its design, not for its movements..
They all look the same j/k.. nice collection and all of them having true panerai DNA.. i love panerai myself, currently have a 26b, 87d, 194, 89 and a 662...
My wedding watch
Congrats!
Gsh darnit this watch is growing on me
It's a nice one!
Amazing video! I will get same your watch!

YEAH!
That's a super collection. Panerai make some stunning timepieces. I own two which get a lot of wear; the 1950 PAM127 (47mm) and a PAM388 Radiomir (45mm), I really want the composite brown radiomir (504) so that's probably next on the list.
Thanks!!
Very nice, thanks for the video 😊
thanks!
Nice watch, but not the last watch to have magnetic resistance, all pilots - mark series and big pilots have always had the soft iron cage for magnetic protection.
Glycine Combat Sub is the best value for $$ on the market, hands down. I work on ships and this watch has taken all the punishment mother ocean can throw at it.

I'm allergic to the resin straps on Casio watches, that's why i'm looking at their steel offerings. Always been a fan of g-shocks. It's funny that you mentioned the Grand Seiko brand, as they are my favourite watches (can't afford one though). I think this MT-G is a great offering by Casio, imported from Japan they're around 600 Euros now. Also their quartz movements are very very accurate (as are the Grand Seiko 9F quartz movements). I do hope i don't react to the resin inlays inside the MTG's steel band.
Beautiful piece!I just got the brother SBGV243 with the black dial, I also have, like I saw you do as well, the SBGN009 another fantastic 9F. Question for you, are you changing the battery yourself? And if yes, how do you test the waterproofing!Cheers!
I do replace the batteries by myself. I use a fresh o-ring or clean it and use silicone grease.
@@chronoevolution1871 thanks for your reply.Do you also have a watch waterproof machine?I was thinking of getting one but not sure if I might get water in while testing the WR.
Can you order the rubber strap separately? I like the look of the MTG-B3000-1A but prefer the dial of this one
I'm not sure, but I imagine it is possible to order from Casio
A bee a bee a bee...zhats all folks...
Wonderfully articulated, thank you. I believe the issue is more about disclosure and/or transparency, or the lack thereof by watch houses.
Very nice watch
Nice review, the MTG, MRG and Oceanus lines are actually manufactured and hand assembled at Casio’s Yamagata Premium Production Line “PPL”
Okay boomer😊
Wonderful collection. I have only recently been serious about getting a Panerai, your video is helpful. Subscribed !
Thank you!

Super helpful no-nonsense review, thanks. I’m taking this over a Hamilton GMT whose chapter ring does not automatically rotate.
Nice and informative review! Hope to own one soon...
Great share! Pretty funny that you have 20,000 of Panerai on the table and you have a G-Shock on, love it!
So classic watch....
Wonderful watch! I’m looking for this model but wasn’t lucky to get one until now. The hunt goes on… 😉
Good luck!
I bought one now in Japan! It will soon arrive at my place in Switzerland. I‘m very excited. 😃
I bought the same piece brand new in 2017 at decent discount. Now I need to get a new strap because the original blue alligator has worn out.
I own the SBDY055J1 Baby Tuna and definitely one of my favorites in my Seiko collection 👍🏻
Молодец
Great video mate ! I got mine two days ago. I have a question I left the watch in the balcony under direct light to charge the battery, it stayed there all day for 2 days but the battery is still not showing full. How long does it take to fully charge the battery ?
I never had might get down that far TBH. I use and LED charger on my solars from time to time to top them off.
I've had one of the red accent ion plate versions for a few months now and I just keep going back to it over and over. I really wanted the stainless version but Casio UK were running a minus 35% offer which was hard to overlook. Most will throw their hands up in horror at the price but it's only when you get one in hand you begin to appreciate the quality of materials and fit and finish of the watch. The high tech movement is a development from the Oceanus line brought up to triple G standard with a couple of extras tagged on. The fact they are hand assembled at Yamagata also adds to the exclusivity. It's the complete antithesis of what a gshock should be as you won't want to beat it up and is more a showcase of what Casio can do.
They are finished in the Yamagata factory of Casio.
Wow I would be just as happy with one of those as a datejust, except I can’t afford either so that solves that.😅
Just brought myself the black one with rubber strap. Very cool looking watch, but debating whether if i should by the metal bracelet…. Ebay sells them around 300 candian. Not cheap. The strap is either a bit too tight or too loose. But I don’t know if 300 + tax and shipping and possibly custom fees is a smart idea i
the 55 seems much broader than the 112 when on the table. is that just a trick of the camera?
🤍
just bought mine
I would like to have a look at this watch
This Video made me pull the trigger on the watch, arrived today, super happy with it, thank you!!
