It doesn't seem so, also I don't think it would have come out as fluffy if she did
She's probably twisting left over right. With this kind of hair you have to twist right over left to get the spring twist look. I didn't learn that until I stumbled upon a short on here, so my had the same look the first couple of times I tried doing twists with this hair

The hair that's already installed looks different from the twist that was demonstrated... but I love the hairstyle
Good observation, the newly twisted one has to unravel a bit to look uniform with the other twists, it looks the same within hours-a day
