We decided to finally make a Tournament video! It turned out to be a good day for it because we caught a good bag of largemouth that weighed 17.54 lbs. good for 9th Place. Our weekend was paid for with the check we cashed. Alot of our fish were caught flipping a beaver style bait around submerged bushes. This Video took place at Potholes Reservoir in Grant County, Washington on June 10th 2023.

Great tips on gear… we fish Lake Tapps regularly. 🎣
Thank you! I am gonna try and get out there this weekend and make a video.
Howdy, I just found your channel. Looks like you’re in the Puget sound area, I’m here in Olympia. Are you planning to post more videos.?
@@vaughnprecision hey definitely plan on posting more videos! My tournament schedule has been pretty crazy this year but it is starting to slow down.
Please post again, especially lake Tapps vids!
Hey Logan. New Vids coming soon!
I got a 2lber, get the net! =P
thought he was setting the hook on a freaking shark or something on that first 1 😂dont understand the point of releasing fish after breaking their jaws smh
What size on the dual lock Snap ? does it matter so much ?
Love how you rock a lighter action rod! 😂 I just got a light action HMG Fenwick….couldnt say enough good things about the sensitivity and fight it brings…even to a smaller fish! I’m not getting fish of your size in the video….still kinda new to bass. And I’ve never fished lake Washington….only smaller lakes and once or twice sammamish….but haven’t done well…only on cutthroat….weird. They nail my crankbaits routinely! Anyways….love the inspiration you bring to your boy….takes me back when mine were little. God Bless and thanks for the content! 🎣
Just a little reminder about Moses Lake. When you were talking about the hook you said the best place around in western Washington to get them, We, on the good side of Washington, where Moses Lake is, do not go to that other side to get fishing gear.
I never thought of that at the time. They also have a location in Spokane. I guess the closest place would be Sportsmans warehouse in Moses Lake! Thanks for watching!
How well can you see with only the small place for your head?
you can see extremely well. the only thing you cant see is behind you just like a field layout blind.
Hey man appreciate the Washington based bass videos! Would be beyond stoked to see some content about how to locate the fish in this state, seems like nobody talks about it in WA save for Sam Porter who is a retired YTer now haha. Anything to do with your experience in the PNW on bass behavior/seasonal movements and what makes the fish up here tick would be killer, just a thought! So much info out there that doesn't seem to apply to how our lakes are set up with deep weedlines and steep banks everywhere. Newer angler here so been on the struggle bass as I just got a boat in October lol. Anyway thanks for the content you've posted so far, it's been helpful!
I will definitely try to put out some content like that for you. If you have ig look me up and DM me. Ill try and help ya out!
I'd love that man! Will hit you up for sure. @@bassnquack270

You could make a lot of money selling these blinds
Did you Build one like it?
@@bassnquack270no I was actually going to reach out and ask how much money I’d have to pay you to build me one and ship it to utah
That kids going to be out fishing you in a few years.
yes definitely!!
'Promo sm' 🤭
Great video as always boss!
Lessss gooo baby!!!!
Have you ever fished Lake Washington I’m the summer? I’m wondering how the baits and technique would differ for summer fishing
Yes definitely fish there alot in the summertime. I like to fish shallow some in the summer especially in the morning then i will head out deeper outside the weeds in 18-22 ft. of water. Wherever the weeds stop growing. look for schools of perch on your sonar and there will probably be some bass close by.
Where are the bass in Moses Lake right now?
This time of year I have had the best luck right before dark. During the daytime on deeper banks and deeper docks. if you can find some shade they could be hiding in that might help as well
What’s funny I bought those in a pinch one time and I was super impressed. My go to is the owner mosquito lite, but that’s a solid hook.
I really like them!
What's a good lure and color this time of year at Tapps?
We are definitely getting close to the summer pattern fishing deeper docks and main lake points and weedlines in 18ft+. I really like throwing a ned rig, dropshot, and neko rig. Anything natural colored like green pumpkin or something close to perch colored. I catch alot of bass out there that spit up small perch.
Are your jigs at limit out??
Hey Chris We dont have our jigs anywhere for sale. You can DM me on IG @bassnquack and we could probably get some made up for you
Hi there love your videos. I have done alot of bass fishing in Louisiana so i was pretty confident in my fishing but it is totally different here in western Washington. Your videos have helped me out here so thank you
Thanks for watching Chris!
Dang Mobb Deep and Bass and Bass. I dig!
So cool you caught a steelhead. I never new they where in there. I have alot of videos on my channel from lake tapps. I lived there for one summer of my life. And caught lots of fish
Caught a 25 lb tiger musky a little while ago. Video is on my channel. At lake tapps. It's my profile photo
I'm so glad I watched this and you got that trout, I just moved to Buckley and posted on a couple of the fishing pages curious if there was trout in tapps nd that beast confirms!!😁😁😁
I dont know how many are in there but at least one!
@bassnquack270 well from what I've heard nd now seen the ones caught in there are hogs and probably came up the in-flow canal and I been curious about fishing by the back bridge anyways so I may have to go play with some different lures out there!! It's close and I need to practice throwing some lures anyways, I've mostly always been a lazy bottom/bobber fisher
Do you ever fish Spanaway or Kapowsin?
yes we fished kapowsin quite a bit last year. havent fished spanaway in a while but it is a good one too.
Thanks for sharing! I fish Lake Tapps probably every other weekend or so during Spring-Fall, and I never really got a hang of crankbaits. Going to have to give them another shot after watching this.
They can be really good sometimes. Probably my best day ever was on a squarebill bite. Caught one every cast for about 90 minutes. It was insane!
I love your vids cause I fish Washington and Tapps all the time so keep them coming😁
Thanks! Will do!
Lived down the street from tapps my whole life, I kayak bass fish and gave up on it because of the jet ski and water skiers, this is probably the best time to go when it's cold and wet lol
Yes pretty much he only people out there were anglers. there is a few coves you could get away from the craziness in summer. Sometimes in the summer we go right at daylight til about 11 or 12 and get out of there before it gets crazy.
Your net man is gunna make millions with those skills
Oh Yeah he loves it!
I thought this was Lake Washington in Mississippi here lol 😆 I'm smokin B! Ok great video
Great video. Way to go Maverick!!!!!
More to come!
Those look more like Guadalupe bass from Texas than smallmouth.
super pretty colors on this one
Do you primarily throw chatterbaits when the water visibility is murky or do you still throw it in clear water?
I throw them in both. Usually i will change the color to something more natural looking in clear water like green pumpkin or some sort of blugill/perch type pattern. If im in a part of the country with shad ill throw white in clear water too. Dirtier water ill throw more black and blue, white, and chartreuse.
@@bassnquack270 Thank you! These videos are super helpful, especially for people that live in WA like myself.
@@Bigjuicer4 im going to try and put out alot more this year. If you have any suggestions fire away!
What were the measurements on the total length of the doors *prior to bends. Thank you. Great video.
I truly cant remember. Tomorrow in the light ill throw a tape on one and get you close
AMERICAN!!!!!
You a badass man
yeah buddy!!!
What up niggas!!!!!
I want to take my son out there to fish, it’s September, what should I use and where on the lake is good?
senkos, ned, rig and dropshot would probably be good right now.
What's a good hotel to stay at if you have the boat? I used to stay close by at an rv campground but I sold the rv
lakeshore motel or quality inn are pretty decent
Can we fish off the dock?
im sure you could!
Awesome video
Thank you!
Always a fun challenge. Fished that lake a couple times and always do pretty good. Nice job!
Love the video bud! Need more of these!
thanks boss man!
