Well done!! Great information here. Thank You!!
*Quick update:* Intel’s 15th-gen CPUs _(Core Ultra series - Arrow Lake)_ are out, with the new LGA 1851 socket, and with that we also have the new Z890, B860 and H810 chipsets. If you're planning to go with a 15th-gen CPU, these are the ONLY chipsets available rn to choose from. These CPUs are not backwards compatible. Also, the previous 13th and 14th gen will not be compatible with LGA 1851 motherboards. 👇Best Z890 Motherboards (LGA 1851 Socket)👇 ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 HERO: amzn.to/4f4Rbz9 GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS Elite WIFI7: amzn.to/3NMU0cs _(Recommended based on tested reviews so far)_ As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases made through the links in this description. I haven't tried a MediaTek CPU, so I can't personally comment on the experience. The newer OnePlus Pad 2 features the Snapdragon Gen 3. While the OnePlus Pad 2 is a decent device, I believe I'll be returning it and opting for the Samsung Tab S9+ instead, which is available at a similar price point at Best Buy. Sure, the S9+ might have the older SD Gen 2 CPU, but benchmarks indicate that the performance difference isn't significant. Samsung often overclocks its Snapdragon chips, and their software optimization tends to be superior. The Pad 2 is a great budget option, but I prefer having a fingerprint sensor for added security, especially for sensitive apps. Additionally, I miss the convenience of tap-to-wake and better app compatibility on Samsung devices. If the OnePlus Pad 2 meets your specific needs, it's a great choice. However, the lower price point reflects certain compromises compared to Samsung's premium tablets. Fortunately, Samsung tablets in the US are frequently on sale, allowing you to acquire them without paying full retail price.
Great info! thank you for this
you forgot HarmonyOs !
it's more popular on smartphones I guess
Xiaomi pad 6s pro is the ultimate but unfortunately it has last year cpu 8gen2 I'm looking for deminsty 9300+ pad with support styles for uni or i might just buy redmi pad pro idk tbh it's so cheap and will do the work but it lack performance and charging only 33w
samsung tab s10 series might be a fit if that fits your budget. Not covered in the video cause the s10 series was not out at the time
There is ㅣalso Chrome OS tablets
yes but not that popular
This video is obsolete the new intel cpu's are out 😂

Btw another thing that's more or less important in motherboards is PCB. From what I understand, generally an 8-layer PCB is recommended, because more PCB layers offer better connectivity, stability and signal integrity. Which rules out the MSI X670E Tomahawk you've mentioned a few times throughout the video, because it's only got 6 layers of PCB Source: am choosing a motherboard for a workstation right now, was going to buy the X670E Tomahawk one, and dropped it once I realized it's got a 6-layer PCB (and there are reports of stability issues with it), and there are better options from ASRock for a similar price - there is a trade-off in the shape of the outdated Realtek ALC897 codec, but I'm planning on buying a separate sound card anyway
Great info! thank you for highlighting this. I've updated it, the Asrock x670e taichi is defo a better alternative but a bit more expensive tho
@@ThePcOutlier good one, it even has a post code display instead of simple LED indicators! But IIRC it has double x16 PCIe slot supporting x8+x8 mode, and no other PCIe slots, which means plugging even something as simple as an x1 network card will limit the GPU to x8 - which may still be good for most GPUs in a PCIe 5.0 slot, but still something to keep in mind (especially with the upcoming generations of GPUs likely requiring PCIe 5.0 to run at full capacity)

solid!! Best to pair with Ryzen 9000/8000/7000 Series

Proart Creartot Wifi : 10gbe on the mobo, 3 pci x16 slots, best choice for a 10gbe proxmox homelab server
I thought I selected the wrong X570 board. Not impossible to fix a failed built in chipset fan. The Corsair Hero IIIV Wifi X570 is in fact the best if you're not interested in the X570 Extreme boards. I didn't realize Corsair was even involved. I thought it was Asus Rog Strix only.
You don't want to populate all 4 dimm slots if using ddr5, unless you don't mind drastically lowing the speed for it post. Ddr5 is cheap now days.
AI video, video i dislike
Any reason the asus crosshair hero x570 viii wifi as am4 and the x670e crosshair hero am5 boards are not on the high end list?
both of these are definitely high-end and solid options, it's just that the Crosshair series is generally more pricier for what it offers so it can end up being an overkill for most. Also, if you look at the ROG Strix boards in this range, you'll find much better options at better prices
Wasn't sure what to make of this presentation AI at first, glad I stuck with it though. Ty
with what software you make this avatar at the video? it looks nearly real but has some fails. 🤣 tomuch useless things noone wanna know and forget a detail at the I/O i real AI know what i mean when i say gamer vs. creators
It's a shame you didn't talk about WIFI 7 and Bluetooth 5.2, the differences that exist today and the highlights. And also regarding entrances 2.1
Hi, I would be happy if you could tell me what the highlights are in the memories. The whole subject of reading and writing and speeds. If you have such a video I would love to see it
Great video! I would love to know which audio is better. ALC4080 or ALC1220 ?
ALC4080
Not really helping, might as well go watch a specific video on the board you want for the CPU you want. I just recently watched a video where they tested every B650 AM5 card, and some run so hot it would cause CPU throttling.
My motherboard sucks prime-a ax 2 doesnt like expo or overclocking 😢
man! I feel u, just saw the reviews. Updating the bios might help but no guarantees (caution: don't do it without proper research or an expert)
Your board is a 4 dimmer and pcb is only a 6 layer so not great for memory oc. The vrm isn't great. Hardly anything for a heat sync and the boards power delivery is probably not good from an ocing stand point. It'll power your chip that's probably it.
@@ThePcOutlierwon't help
@@iDeparture yeap it came with the prebuilt. I plan to change it soon!
@@gamingfromjohnwayne yeah that makes sense
Great presentation. It's been a couple of years since my last build and it's always amazing how quickly tech evolves. Just the refresher I needed. Thanks!
Thank you! glad it was helpful
Worse than a nagging wife
bruh, what 😂😂
One thirty seven hundred K @6:56 Thirteen Seven hundred K should be the way ot is pronounced. (Distingushing that it is the 13th gen and 700 series chip)*
You're correct, it's supposed to be "thirteen seven hundred k". That's on me, thanks for pointing that out!
😎👍
Is the voice AI or is the script AI as well? If it's just the voice, then I don't mind, because the script is pretty good.
thank you! just the voice.
I usually start from choosing a CPU. Then I go for proper chipset and motherboard.
Yessir! that's the right way
@@ThePcOutlier That is how I have done it , I mite wait for next gen from intel .
great idea, I second you! expected later this month
@matthewcalifana488 from what I've seen, which isn't much, the new chips are VERY focused on less power consumption and are likely to be about the same, and in some cases, less powerful, or slower, than their predecessors. This was actually confirmed by Intels own advertisements/ stats.
Is that where you found your illegal Steroid dealer, this is laughable. 💉💉💉💉 Oh yeah, I'm NOT your father, Luke.
On the "professional" and popular sites you have to watch a dozen of videos and you will still lack some info. Most excellent recommendation by YT. Subbed and liked....!
That's the point! super happy to see feedback like this, thank you!!
@@ThePcOutlier The irony is that, if you keep doing efficient videos like this, you'll run out of possible content too fast. I'm the type of guy who jumps to conclusion too fast and sometimes too critical. The quote from Bane in the Nolan's batman can be useful. "victory has defeated you". Take care!
haha! man that's too real 😅. With the response I'm getting, I gotta lock-in, it will need some deep digging. Love the reference!
I suggest you edit your text to say words with proper/accepted form, like you did with Z790n vs Zed 790.
appreciate your suggestion, I'll keep note of it!
trumphet (ms store) for sound is also great same as Twinkle TRay
proton pass is also cool and free
yes, thats a cool one too. Great suggestion, thank you!
@@ThePcOutlier KeePass works better, so far - PP is too rudimentary, hopefully they keep working on it.
This guy did his work and all affiliate links are more than deserved. Well done
Nice
what an awful video...
any specific reason you say that my friend? 😐
@@ThePcOutlier Yes, of course i have reasons. It's not really about the content i guess, but the AI voice is just bad and showing a picture from same guy again and again doesn't make it any better. Guess it would be much more watchable without these elements. But well, it might be useful for those who actually have minimal knowledge about what mainboards are doing. Personally i was more looking or hoping for a guide about the latest boards and their pros and cons and eventually some recommendations, tbh, i guess it would be more helpfull in the end. The title sounds much like that, maybe another name would be more suitable. Another point might be that the voice is quite fast and there is more talking than needed, I'd recommend to try to cut it down to a more essential information, i mean it's a guide for people quite new to PC building and i guess it could be easily overwhelming to a lot of them. Well, the overall radiation is quite cold all in all. But you clearly put in some work and the information overall is useful too. So, its just the presentation, that i think lacks a lot of charisma and some simplicity as well.
Thanks for the feedback man! I totally get where you're coming from on the AI voice and presentation stuff. I’ve been thinking about ways to make the experience more engaging, definitely something I’ll look into for future videos
nice vid but the cheat sheet for motherboard sizes isnt fully accurate since E-ATX motherboards dont really have a defined size and it varies from brand to brand, i have an E-ATX motherboard from asus that is the exact same size as a regular atx motherboard just with a few extra expansion slots
Glad you liked the video! and you're right, these are just typical sizes. The height is almost the same for E-ATX and ATX, the difference is essentially more expansion slots for the E-ATX which makes it generally more squarish and just a bit on the larger side in most cases
