That little area on the far left, between the Giants village and the cavern has the logs on the floor which you chop with your silver axe to get hardwood, which you use to make the gold and iridium tools. Otherwise it takes flipping forever just to break a rock, or clear underwater rubbish. You are quite right, it's a bit rude of them to insist that only certain meals can be made with specific utensils, then charge ridiculous amounts for them. Then again, I am quite proud of the fact that one of my indoor storage chests is rather full of spoiled meals, which i tend to hurl at townies i don't much care for. Luke's 'droll' dad is very near the top of that list! you are a natural at this, carry on, cheers!

Full marks for your patience. Found myself yelling at the game when I cleared a huge area, only to find that the flame trail thingie finds the one flipping load of rubbish that i missed. And yes, the horse + stable is 30k for an animal that produces not a sausage. Spoiler tip; the goofy disguise quest for the god blokes also pays sod all, so don't panic over it. Actually, the quail is pricey, and takes a while to drop an egg, but quail mayo is a huge payout, and it gives you yet another reason to get distracted with coming up with a cute/fun name. Cheers!

with the exception of the underwater squidgies, that you catch with the net, all fish/sea creatures are caught with the pole. No crab pots, which is a bit rubbish. They also give no option with the cooking. I sympathize as i am not bothered with it myself, but the temple requires a few meals that you have to make, because they are not available to purchase. Honestly, as much as i love this game, the island could use a few more takeaway carts. lol You are doing brilliant, cheers!

To answer your questions; 1. yes, Heritage is based on the offerings. The house upgrade is necessary for cooking, and there's a whole set of offerings to fry up/boil/cook, which also means nipping out to the electronics shop, and forking over loads of cash for a flipping stove, frying pan, and so forth. sorry. 2. With the new area that just opened up, you need a silver axe upgrade to choppychoppy the big logs on the ground there, which is the only way to manually get hardwood for now. They respawn every day, which is cool, but one more bloody thingie you need to add to daily routine to get hardwood for gold/iridium tool upgrades. Getting a gold scythe for the sea rubbish is bang on, but still a long process. 3. Don't Panic, you are doing fine. Cheers!

You just got hay chests, which flipping doubles the storage space of those rubbish ones. Bit time consuming to transfer it all over, but so worth it. Loads of grass for Haze to hack with new and improved scythe, which provides heaps of hay. Big grassy areas before the giants home, and the foresty zone in front of the mines. Plus, you will need to fill up your silo before winter with hay for your growing animal friends. As much as i enjoy the funny reactions when you give random people random prezies, you can google townies favourite gifts list. Congrats on being top of the pops apple bobber! lol Cheers.

Haze can sleep soundly knowing that even more animals are possible. Well, when I say possible, i mean mandatory to feed the Goddess thingies. Sheep and llama wool are required as well as a piggie whom can find truffles, which you will need oil, which means more flipping crafting, as in an oil press. Peafowl, quail, goat, give random bits and bobs, and last but not least, the bloody adourable weasel critter, called a Luwark, produces, wait for it...high end coffee beans out their bums. no, really. So start Googling loads of names soon. Thanks for another fun adventure, cheers!

Underrated

Might do to upgrade your scythe sooner rather than later. As you've already noticed, those flipping huge, darker rubbish piles take several whacks, and sorry, yes, you've still got a bloody long way to go. To answer your earlier question, yes, autumn and winter bring less bits to forage, but unlike Stardew, you can grow stuff in the winter. Well, when I say stuff, the wildseeds will make green tea leaves, for some odd reason, but still. Soon you should have kegs, which can brew the tea into proper cuppas. Not to mention wheat and barley, which make beer and most of the fruits make juice, which, when you get ageing barrels, make wine. Again, unlike Stardew, the beers and juices only take a few days to brew, and ageing in the barrels is like a week rather than a flipping few months. You are doing brilliantly, cheers.

With the coming of Autumn, there is less forage available, and random, so unfortunately you just have to keep buggering on. The recipe for the mayo machine unlocks at level 2 ranching. Yet another frustrating bit, as you've discovered, is that some thingies, like the bones, are offerings, but not until much later. So it's donate them, or crafting even more bloody storage chests. But nevermind, you are doing brilliantly, cheers.

Winter crying in the corner rn

hey besties! Bit of a strange first community post to make on here, but anyway 😅😅 I’ve decided not to play anymore of Into the Pit. I think the game is great, the decision isn’t based on the quality of it, but on the effect it has on me. If you’re from my miraculous ladybug channel, you may already know that I have psychosis, which means i get hallucinations, and certain things can trigger them - such as sounds. And the sound design for into the pit is amazing because it’s scaring me quite a lot - and triggering hallucinations. This has happened before, like during the scarecrow level of Batman Arkham Asylum and it’s happening with this. So in a way it’s very much a compliment to the studio and whoever did the sound design, because great job! But for the sake of my mental health I’m going to have to stop playing it. And I suppose it also means my foray into playing horror games is over. My mental health comes first so I think I’ll stick to cosy ones 💖 I’m super sorry if I’ve let anyone of you down but the hallucinations are getting quite bad and I’m struggling to sleep and I just can’t play any more of it. I hope you understand 💖
