From rags to riches story of Dr. V. Mohan's Diabetic Specialty Center Pvt. Ltd. It's growing like anything all over the world. Dr. VM is a great Diabetologist and a great businessman. He has plenty of awards, degrees accolades, publications, Padmashri Award, FRCP(Glasgow), FRCS (London) etc. His talks are very informative to the public all across the world. They have many branches, collaborations etc. all over the world. Times of lndia rated their institutions are the best in the country. Padmashri Dr. V. Mohan has lots of experiences. He is very strict, sincere, committed, dedicated, intelligent, inspiring, insightful, thoughtful etc. Now he started sharing information through TH-cam is a great effort. They have patents. They create lots of awareness programs all over lndia. His Father late Professor Dr. Viswanathan, first Diabetologist in the country was a very dedicated, highly accomplished, humane, coveted, inspiring, insightful, thoughtful, informative etc. Doctor. Even Dr. VM Anjana MD, Ph.D, Diabetologist etc. is continuing at the footsteps of her parents. Late Dr. VM Rema was a Diabetic Ophthalmologist who got first Ph.D among Ophthalmologist in the country. She succumbed to breast cancer a few years back. I worked in MDRF with late Dr.VM. Rema in diabetic Retinopathy for about 6 months at Peter's Road, Royapuram campus. I guided a Ph.D student Ramprasad also for 6 months. I was a registered Ph.D guide at University of Madras. Due to certain issues l left MDRF. l made some protocols necessary for Diabetes when l was there. Also wrote a huge grant proposal to DBT in 2002 along with Dr. Radha Venkatesh Ph.D, head of Molecular Genetics Unit. I was head & Scientist of Clinical Genetics Unit, MDRF. Drs.VM & RM were Co - Pls. Dr. Radha Venkatesh and myself were PIs of DBT 3.2 crore grants. I left by October 2002. Only 50 % grant money was sanctioned after Dr. VM presented the grant proposal to DBT due to certain issues. They have got lots of publications in peer reviewed Journals. Dr. VM's citation is over 1 lakh. He is a Scientist and a Diabetologist. Dr. VM's entire siblings are doing Diabetes either as Diabetologists, Nutritionists, Administration etc. They are very talented people and God fearing. Dr. VM is a ardent devotee of late Puttaparthi Sai Baba, some are devotees of Amirthananda Mai in Kollam, Kerala. They are doing a great service to humanity since lndia is the hub of diabetes in the world. They conduct many epidemiological surveys in the public to know the prevalence of the disease. If you want to survive in MDRF or in their hospital you have to be loyal and listen to what they say or want. Otherwise it is not good for you. Sometimes all 7 days you have to work without any rest. It's difficult for especially family people with small children, when nobody is there to look after them. Padmashri Dr. V. MOHAN is a better human being compared to his late wife Dr. Rema Mohan MD, Ph.D. Their daughter Dr. RM Anjana MD, Ph.D and her husband Dr. Ranjit MD are very nice people. They have a small son named Pranab. He will also follow his parents, grandparents and great grandpa Dr. Vishwanathan's footsteps. All the very best in all the noble pursuits in your life. Though l found certain things are very difficult in MDRF & hospital due to some spy activities, which is not scientific and humane & ethical. Now they have changed a lot over the years.
