Local tip as ive lived here my whole life, as soon as you leave these tourist high areas (in the more northern part of the city) it can be dangerous as it has high gang activity.

In my day, we called it West of the Ashtray. Not a great area, bland and yuk. Is Citadel Mall still a thing?
I do remember those days. Thankfully, the last 25 years has brought some nice changes to the area. Citadel mall is a shell of what it once was but the backbone of it now is an MUSC campus, Target, and IMAX

I’m curious to find out if the landfill outside of 26 in West Ashley has a negative effect on the quality of life (bad odor) of some of the communities near by.
They were found to be neglecting certain duties that resulted in exposed trash flying about & wafting odors when it's not being covered appropriately.

You should incorporate stories, Summerville was the vacation spot for Residents in Charleston, Mtpl and Surrounding islands back in the early 30s..doctors would "prescribe" breathing issue patients to move to Summerville for the Pine ..apparently it was a remedy back then. In older Summerville, the houses are famous for who built them and who lived there...Elizabeth Arden for one..House still has the Red door she made a staple of her brand. Cheers Trey.
at 20:17 the little house with the blue tarp across from Wendys is or was a Great Italian Restaurant and Each year for the Bridge Run...Oprah Winfrey would come to this restaurant to eat..got alot of locals talking and people waiting outside just to see her.

Ha It was ringing off the hook that day for whatever reason - I think I took about 15 calls in a 2 hour window, so had the idea of putting it in the video to emulate what that day was actually like.
As for this sales associate," Penny" I was wondering who she was. A very unpolite disposition. I visited a few times and not much as a friendly smile. Asked a question and she demonstrated such annoying. destitute of bother.
Tell me if this is a high-risk flood area. I wouldn't have to ask you if my consultant would have called us back ( myself or realtor ) with the information. I went to pull up FEMA map and that is what it indicated. Then I went to the insurance company to make sure. Basically most the area is. Since the consultant did not get back I figure he did not know, therefore I am providing mthe information. The map accuate. The consultant never got back about the questions with the HOA or serverral other pertinent questions to make a informed decision. I am sorry to have to write this but there is so much over the internet about Lennar. I just cant trust them either.
My son was molested by JOSEPH POLENSKY at an orgy trick his mom MARY BETH HERSHBERGER was doing at Folly Beach may 16 2020. Google it burglaries/drug charges through their 30s. Charleston SC has charm but please be careful there is a growing meth/opioid culture growing in the shadows. Please stay out of the narrow alleys in downtown at night. Be careful and have fun

Awesome, I’ll do it! I’m seeing others do some simpler VLOG style as opposed to these productions which take me a while to put together, so I figure I’ll give it a try and why not start with one of the most affordable new neighborhoods in the area.
@@lizzystevens7003and yes 55 and over. There’s a loophole that 50-55 are allowed as well, but the number of those ages allowed is based on a percentage of folks in the entire neighborhood.

This is off Simmons Ave between Germantown and Waring. The main st right now is called Pine Waters - it shows up on Apple Maps and Google Maps. I hope that helps.
Builder incentives?
@@josephguastella8037the last I checked, there’s 15k in builder incentives to attribute towards price or closing costs. With the move in ready homes, I’ve been able to negotiate on top of that recently with an extra 10k off the price, blinds, fridge, and closing costs.

Interesting take.. most of where we did the video is in the heart and “downtown” area of West Ashley inside I-526. We’ll do another video at some point on what we consider the outskirts being every everything outside I-526 and over towards Cosgrove.

I’ve lived on John’s Island since the 70s and I’m sick of people building on this island causing traffic problems ,then once they move here they want to complain and change things,and the city annexes and takes taxes from John’s Island and dumps into downtown so we have county that won’t do anything and city just building away cause money grubbing,most new homes are built poorly anyway,even are airport on John’s Island is city got to take that money

Hi there - I’on, Old Village, Cooper Estates, SweetGrass, Seaside Farms, and Hidden Lakes just to name a few. Most of what you’ll see with a 29464 address isn’t going to be very far from some sort of restaurant or grocery store. It’s gets windier as you get closer to the water but I’d say it’s more often gusts than it is consistent wind. It happened to be a little windier the day I filmed this than usual though, I will say.

I live in West Ashley and appreciate the progress.This does not mean that I will for Tecklenburg. His allowing upper King St to be destroyed by rioters and doing absolutely nothing about it, and calling for the historic statue of Calhoun to be removed to cater to a certain group is proof of his judgement and ineptness. I will spread the word to EVERYONE I can to NOT VOTE FOR HIM. I voted for him in his initial term but was thoroughly deceived..
I think both you and I can agree having him out of office FINALLY is a great thing for this city.
