The funny thing is my great grandparents names were Margaret and William Weldon. My Granny married their son who is grandfather James Weldon so my mom's maiden name is Weldon. And I was a Lucy fan before seeing this movie. It's so fricken cool.

A remake of "Rain" w/Joan Crawford from 1932 (which was a remake of 1928's "Sadie Thompson.") A very risky move by Crawford and not successful at the box office. Joan Crawford was SO good in this role, she didn't even know it; but she never took any more risks for MGM after this movie was made.
