I'm looking for an engine appropriate for my 1968 Taco 22--what have you got?

I have a mower with this exact engine. It has a cracked manifold where it screws on to the body. How can I identify the part I need to replace?

Would you mind doing a favor for a stranger? I just bought a 3HP B&S engine of a similar vintage on a 1969 Sensation minibike. It appears to be the original engine, but someone put a fan housing/recoil assembly from a vertical engine on it at some point. Therefore, I have no clue what model number/type/code it is. The best I can do is find a similar engine's model number to look up parts for it. Could you post the model/type/code numbers here? I sure would appreciate it!

Nice engine! I have a 2hp 1969 on my minibike it has over 46k hours on it and is not rebuilt. They are hard to kill

I have one of these little monsters, mine is not black though, it's orange, It was purchased as a replacement engine by a paranoid purchaser of an 18" Jacobsen lawn prince Reel mower. the Reel Mower is still to this day working great and the replacement engine was never needed, it was purchased 51 years ago for ( Just in case) LOL. Yours looks pretty new as well, i still do not know what i am going to do with mine, seems a shame to just let it sit though.
