Frank Doris Agatha Adickes Straus, or Frankie as she was called by all that loved her, was the daughter of Minnie Mae Kemp Adickes and Thomas J. Adickes and niece to Frank and Lula Kemp Kell. Frankie lived to be almost 103 years old, and we had the pleasure of visiting with her and listening to her tales of the Adickes, Kell, and Kemp families and life in Wichita Falls in the early 20th Century!

There's nothing like learning the history of your hometown. I love this place and the richness of our Wichitan history and how deep it goes.

Amazing. Her mom was a beautiful soul. She had an understanding of the corrupt banking system and they're way of making money out of thin air. She built those houses knowing full heartedly that what she was doing could or could not be illegal. All just to help the community. This inspires me. God bless you all
