Been a volunteer firefighter for 4+ years as a junior, currently going through the schooling side of things to go professional, my grandfather and three of my uncles are also volunteers and so was my a good friend of mine, he unfortunately passed away in a head on collision when someone drifted into his lane. It’s given me a whole new light as to why I’m busting my ass every day with my training and schooling to do what they all believe I could make it to do.

I sure miss being on the fire dept. The best job I ever had. I was a Lt. then a Captain and a PIO. I had to give it up after 20 years due to an injury. Miss my brothers and sisters. Thank you for this beautiful tribute.

Why not the ladder 3 audio at the beginning still a good tribute i miss ladder 3😭 I was a junior on ladder 4 I don't remember what number but it was a ladder and the moment I heard about ladder 3 I fell on my knees crying and I couldn't stop bc i was a good friend with someone in ladder 3 I was about 15 years old then I was in a pretty high rank like I was pretty good a litle bit lower than an captain I was at that level but I was a junior so I don't get the rank but I was like good and I was allowed in the north building it was a madness I did quit after that bc I couldn't handle it anymore
