Panasonic KX-P2135 color 24-pin dot matrix printer rendering the Windows XP printer test page
This took a pretty significant amount of effort to get working. The sheet feeder didn't want to cooperate, and the rollers inside the ribbon cartridge disintegrated after my first test print. I wound up getting it to work by replacing the junk rollers with standard plumbing O rings, but the damage was already done. The ribbon is all sticky and coated in a glue like substance from the original rollers and will barely get through one or two prints before either getting stuck and causing a dim or no print, or jamming the entire mechanism. It's a shame because this is a cool printer.

A friend of a friend was going to throw this plotter away, since they were moving buildings. I offered to come take it away, and so I wound up with it for free. It came to me in unknown condition, totally disassembled. I just got it back in one piece today and tested it - spoilers, it works just fine!

I've owned so many K cars, they're great but you must know they're quirks, both starting cold (pedal to the floor, hold a few seconds, start without gas.... etc same with working on em. Gotta be one with them! First car I ever drove, worked on (YES, A FWD) Love em or hate em, they're great cars, just ask Red Green (lol) I had that sucker pretty much diagnosed at the start (Although you obviously couldn't hear me, Sorry for the colorful obscenities, lol!) I want a 2.6 Wagon, they actually lay rubber and perform well, oil leaks aside😊
Didn’t know they started putting phones in the frozen isle 😂😂😂😂
They didn't, I'm actually a repair technician for scales and wrappers. This machine was actually going to be discarded, so I ran my phone through it for it's last wrap.
You should put one of those things on the exhaust that makes a fake turbo noise 😂
Just drill the centre and use a screw extractor, it took me 30 minutes on a 40 year old SJ that had lived by the sea in a very wet and damp UK. th-cam.com/video/-w8QmwAhIOI/w-d-xo.html
Something's wrong. Your throttle isnt opened up all the way. No way that thing shifts at 3500 rpm wide open.
That's not a failure it's complete neglect
Mine sweeper would be nuts on this thing
Minesweeper? The game?
@@AiOinc1 Yes
@@overconfidentforce1353How would mine sweeper even work on a plotter

@@llliiimmmeeeI still have no idea what you mean. This is a printer.
I remember that dwg. Spoiler: it wasn't true 3d. Anyways, this plotter won't give me much trust, especially the blood over it.
It's ink from a pen that leaked, not blood. Yes, it's a 2D profile drawing, most computers in 1984 when AutoCAD put out this file could not render 3D at any kind of speed - Even this drawing was a benchmark for many PCs for years, well into the Pentium Pro era.
Its preparing to take off
Sure sounds like it
This is one of my favorite printers
Mine too! I wound up with two of them, paid $10 for the pair. Sadly, the other one is stone dead (no power at all) and doesn't have a toner cart anyways. At least this one is doing alright for itself.
That reminds me of my 91 black carriage top two tone grey body Flow master duel exhaust pipes and it was wide open, She was faster than most caddies but you'd never know while she was parked and sitting pretty, But the repairs after a while was to expensive especially a transmission or Catylic converter or a new radiator 0:18
I had one but after two A/C evaporators it was add some freon and bye bye. Oh a 6 cyl. Intrepid blew my doors off too
You did a great thing by grabbing it from the junkyard. It would be a shame to scrap this van, since it looks like it’s still got some life left in it.
Omg the con rod knock 😢😅
Epic
Thanks!
I kind of want one now.
They're pretty reasonably priced on eBay these days. If you just look for "Hobart HLX" you should find a few.

I have a Starmicronics SG-10 and the buttons don't respond to any commands. I didn't connect it to a computer yet so it might work...
The buttons don't respond at all? Do the indicators light up?
@@AiOinc1 yes and no. The indicators do light up like the power light and the paper feed indicator lights up but the thing is when I connect it to my computer it just shuts down. I actually have a parallel port card for my PC and even disconnected from my entire PC it's still shuts down it might be shorting something out. But I also heard a click coming from the motor that moves the printhead. It seems to be trying to initiate but it just gives out a not so noticeable but single click every time I connect it to my computer. The motherboard might be completely dead or just due to his age is just refusing to work at all.
Isn’t that your ignition module?
👍
Following in UXWBiLL’s footsteps l see! Cool!
I mean it shifts pretty well. I've seen slower shifting automatics in cars that cost 10 times more
It's recently rebuilt, so it actually works very well. The ratios are well chosen for this engine, it can often pull without a downshift - Just top gear is a bit short for highway travel.
Beautiful car; wonder when they put the padded dashboard on these cars?
Where did you get that diagnostic device? Nice car you got here. Bought a 3rd generation 1998 Chrysler Grand Voyager minivan. It came from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 and that vehicle, along with mine, was built in Windsor, Ontario. My has the dual cassette and CD player. I drove it from Toronto to San Francisco. Driving through Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and California. I did buy CDs 💿 for the drive back. I have Michael Bublé, Alanah Myles, Glass Tiger, Céline Dion, Gordon Lightfoot, Bryan Adams, Diana Krall, Anne Murray, and the Guess Who.

Oh man I'm so glad someone uploaded this track! So much nostalgia!
No problem. I remember seeing them on the 3DS eShop videos back in the day!
@@AiOinc1 Yeah same here!
As the owner of a ‘93 DeVille I can confirm and attest that’s a standard Cadillac horn. So tell me what makes it a special edition?
My dad's 95' DeVille had the same sounding horn! Old and DEEP sound lol
Can you show your fails?
Fails? What do you mean?
How is it made? Are those samples or 2600 can generate Such complicated waves? How can I try compose music with 2600 without asmbler background? Sorry im lame xd
No, there are no samples here. Without a background in assembly, you are unlikely to make any music quite as good as this. The "complex waves" come to exist because of the nature of the TIA's sound generator, which is a mere 5-bit divider that can select it's input from a few different internal signals, which have to do with video generation. There is some kind of composer program out there for it, but keep in mind that it is extremely difficult since the TIA cannot produce very many notes, only 31 in each range and they are not spaced in a sane way. It was never meant to generate music. To get anything in tune, you will need to do a lot of trills.
Thank you for your response! This chip sounds sooo good when used properly… I’m in love. A2600 was my childhood console and of course it didn’t sound anything like this. I think this music is mixture of nostalgia and actually good music for me haha thank for response, greetings
That looks like maybe half throttle
No, I assure you that this was with my foot all the way to the floor.
@@AiOinc1 you might want to check your throttle cable.. that should be revving to 5500 at least
I wish there was a way to upgrade the graphics on a Pismo. I have a 550mhz G4 upgrade in mine but the ATI 128 is its greatest limitation.
How ?
Several companies made G4 upgrade cards for the Pismo@@Techlevel1534. Action Retro made a video about his 550mhz G4- th-cam.com/video/sGeF_Md3VKQ/w-d-xo.html
You're honestly lucky that Apple accidentally left in a way to get a CPU upgrade at all. You can't upgrade the video on any of their all-in-one machines until well into the Intel era, as far as I'm aware. I would love to have a G4 upgrade for my iMac here someday, like a Sonnet with a FireWire port. It would go a long way to getting me to actually use the poor thing again. I'd love to have a Daystar 601 upgrade for my Quadra 950, too, but those go for insane money.
I still have my 1984 Plymouth Reliant…needs some TLC but has a new engine and carburetor which helps.
Nice. If carbs weren't so expensive, I might get one for this, but it does not seem to need it. I actually gave this car away to a friend.
@@AiOinc1 You’re correct about that; I bought mine from JC Whitney over 20 years ago and as I recall, it was around $300. Not sure what they cost these days.
@@andrewps84I'm not sure. When I first got the car running I had looked and seen about 400 bucks, which was more than I paid for the entire car.
@@AiOinc1 I probably wouldn’t have invested that much into my Reliant, but I bought the car in memory of my dad who passed away two weeks before I bought it; it was a carbon copy of the car he owned for 11 years and his car was almost mine but I didn’t have a license yet and he needed the money. I won’t get rid of it either because my friend told me he would kill me if I ever did.
I have an 84 Reliant myself…sitting in the garage at my mom’s house waiting for a new floor pan. I love the sound of these cars.
This one the exhaust fell off and I gave it away.
Hello, I don't know English well, I'm writing from a translator.I inherited this beautiful car from my uncle, and I have the same sound as you when starting the engine (it's a smooth pam pam sound) What does this mean? Is it bad? I'm going to do a revaluation of this car, thank you for your answer in advance.
What do you mean by a "Smooth pam pam sound" In this video, the engine has a missfire. This was before it got a tune up.
Sounds scary XD
Indeed! Startled me the first time I heard it too.
Yugo je zakon super automobil.
Yes, it definitely is. I love it to death
Temps are a bit low because this was the first run of the day. Rest assured it reached temp the next 10 cycles I put it through no problem.
This is the reason my IBM friends were jealous of us COmmodore 64 people, with our cheap computer. 'You paid 1/4th the price for a computer that can do THAT?!?' heh
Haha, it makes sense though since the IBM could do 80s columns, was expandable, grew up to be MUCH faster, and supported a clone market that eventually outsold the C64, even if not all in a single model.
700$ is all its worth ive hear story of the trans going out at 45k
700 was a bargain. The 41TE is a great transmission if you take care of it. Most people never change the fluid once and put the wrong fluid in. The owner's manual says you can use Dex III in a bind, but that it MUST be drained immediately afterwards. You CANNOT run Dexron III in these transmissions, it will dissolve the clutch backs. ATF+2/+3/+4 has always been a bit pricier, and so owners at the time doing their own maintenance wound up putting Dex III in for cost concerns, which would destroy the transmissions almost overnight and not be covered by warranty, leading to many of the horror stories you've likely heard regarding this trans. This van had well over 200k miles on it's original transmission and all it needed was electrical work.
Wow you Shure got lucky sometimes they are bad them
Beautiful very beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks! It's a shame I don't have this car anymore, I kept my 93 but the 91 was sold long ago.
1 out of 5 stars. Fails to show us the horn. Records the sound it makes instead.
Why would you want to *see* the horn instead of hearing the sound it makes?
@@AiOinc1: "You guys gotta see the horn in this." Suggest: "You guys gotta hear the horn in this."
@@AiOinc1I’m with you
These K cars are getting popular with teens and the young 20's something as cheap JDM style builds and they don;t even care if it's a 4 door.
