A Kigali drive from Nyamirambo (by Sun City club) towards town. Watch at the end how an impatient driver enters oncoming mototaxi traffic in order to pass me, just before slowing down entirely for the speed humps. He had also t-boned me about 5 minutes earlier. Unfortunately, this type of driving in VERY common.

I am trying to see if I can drive in Africa...i am from Canada we drive on the same side and I have driven in other countries like the UAE but trying to see if people obey traffic norms - did i see you taking a short cut at a round about instead of going around ? You seem to stop at stop signs which is good - I was stumped in Mexico they don't stop. I am planning a business trip to Rwanda and trying to decide btn renting a car and self drive or have a driver - i don't like to be driven as you don't get to talk freely on a business call as the driver eave drops on your conversation and sometimes their constant chatter distracts you from focusing on the meeting/business ahead. Sure after business is done and i am going to sight see a bit - i would love to be driven esp on more perilous roads and as they also act as local guides.

@@rwandadrives your videos are very good, and enlightening, I can speak for myself, I didn’t imagine that the country has such well-marked highways, as I found in your videos very very surprising ,. I have just one tip or piece of advice to make your videos even better; you can put in the description the itinerary you took for example; put the time of the video and next to the city name (example: 00:00 - Kigali) this helps people a lot to go for example; on Google Maps and search for the itinerary. Another suggestion (only I don't know how to do it) and put the caption with the name of the city in the video, so you could put it at the beginning when you enter a city, village or village and also when leaving those locations. Some highways youtuber do. Keep making these videos of roads in Rwanda and with neighboring countries, and everything else, your videos are very good. (I liked to discover on the Internet searching because I am searching for highways for who knows in the future the company SCS Software that makes games can create a game perhaps with the name Africa Truck Simulator of truck and we collected a few materials about the Democratic Republic of Congo basically the route between the capital and the port there is a city that docks there, it is a very beautiful route as well but there are African TH-camrs that show the highways of their countries). I love these videos! I have been doing the same since 2006, drove up and down this highway in 2014/2015 while under construction. I may ask, what was happening after 28mins , the slowing down , is that a view point?

Main roads are paved, but many roads in residential areas are not paved.
