    I refuse to support Fenty or Cecred until they feature Blk Women with long, voluminous tight Afro hair patterns in their biggest ads. I think yourself and other influencers deserve the highest commissions to promote these products and to be hired and paid very well to model for these brands. Beyonce and Rihanna have the platform to rewrite the narrative and stereotypes surrounding our hair. Will they?

    • @itsivory__
      @itsivory__ 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I understand your concerns. I do however think they are showcasing black women with tight curls. Fenty Hair specifically has worked with Simone Nicole (one of my fav TH-camrs) and recently I saw Slim Reshae doing a partnership with them. The brands are new and still figuring everything out. I feel they have time to show even more diversity in the future. ❤️

    People really need to learn to distinguish type 4 hair from everything else. That is not type 4 hair. Type four hair experiences, a certain amount of shrinkage when wet that she obviously does not experience. Type four is typically a Z pattern or tightly coiled. The healthier, the hair, the more shrinkage that is experienced. Her hair is beautiful, but the video is tagged for type for hair, which her hair is not.

    • @itsivory__
      @itsivory__ หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lybbiacabello2627 I’m sorry you feel that way. However, I do have type 4 hair. Since giving birth 2.5 years ago, not being able to properly take care of my hair and using heat often my curl pattern and hair health changed which prompted me to go on my recent hair journey. My pattern is slowly coming back. I have a video uploading at 12pm today using the FH curl defining cream where I test out a patch of my hair to see how it defines curls on its own with no manipulation. Hopefully that’ll help you as well as others to see my curl pattern better.

    • @vee3133

      Her hair is definitely type 4. There are 3 categories A,B,&C. It's not just 4C. I have Type 4A hair, and I have Curls. Also, the longer the hair, the more WEIGHT it has. Making it "appear looser"

    • @denyshadials5702
      @denyshadials5702 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s damaged, but it still looks to be type 4. Shrinkage is always present to some extent, yes, however water does weigh down the hair, significantly so when it’s waist length or longer.

      People no disrespect to anyone. I’ve been a hairdresser for over 30 years. I put this information up for the young girls who come on in search of hair types similar to theirs. She is more in the 3 type family. She is not experiencing shrinkage. Type4 hair shrinks anywhere from 35 to 75%. Extremely dry and prone to breakage spongy delicate. This mask works better with a tablespoon (or 2) of acv and the rest filtered water; undiluted acv is not good for scalp as it is too acidic.

    What products do u use in your hair to grow your hair

      @@deboraholugbemi6411 from 2017-2018 I was using Cantu products (which I know most ppl have beef with them lol) but they were cheap and they worked okay for my hair which was what I cared about at the time. 2019-2022 I used Mielle Organics pomegranate and honey leave in conditioner and curl smoothie bc my hair really loved them and they smelled good. I saw the most hair growth during this time but I think it was the products and the routine/ techniques I had that helped me grow my hair out and maintain length. I did stop using Mielle bc they weren’t hydrating my hair enough idk if they changed the formula or if my hair just got too used it. 2023-Now I’m using Melanin Haircare and Pattern Beauty and they’ve been hydrating the hell out of my hair lol and my length is still in tact! I hope this helps 💛💛

    Is there a hair length where you think it's been easier/easiest to take care of your hair? As my hair grows longer, I have mixed feelings about it getting easier to maintain - I have practically the same routine as you where I wash every 7-10 days, put in twists/braids, let them out and repeat. I didn't even realize until looking at photos that my hair has grown from chin length to bra strap length in a couple years. I think my hair is easier to take care of now, but I get so lazy thinking about how long one braid takes and it pushes my wash days out farther than I should probably go before dryness sets in. Curious about your experience!

      @@saynat I’ve never resonated with a comment as much as I resonate with this 😭 I be so hurt when wash day roll around bc I know it’s gonna take some time and after a long day of moming I do not look forward to a 3hr arm workout lol I liked my hair at bra strap length and even waist length tbh tailbone length is cute but after ONE twist I wanna quit, do 4 jumbo twists and call it a day 😂 at bra strap length I used to be done with the whole wash day and styling in 2hrs! The good ole days 😭

      @@chellyvino typically where you see any unevenness or damage is where you’d trim. This time since I didn’t have much of either I trimmed about 1/2 an inch off. I hope this helps 💛

    3:04 the cuticle. The follicle is the pore on the scalp that the hair grows out of. The cuticle is what raises to let water in/out on the shaft.

    I have been growing out my bleached hair for a few years. I have a few inches of blonde leftover, is it possible to keep the hair at the ends that is split maintained? Is there a protective style/products you’d recommend to keep the split hair from splitting more up my shaft until I’m ready to make that cut?

      @itsivory__ 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NunusExperience speaking from experience and trying to be as transparent as possible, when I bleached my hair in high school I had to have my mom cut my hair from bra strap length to shoulders bc my hair was so dry and the ends were splitting really bad. We decided it was best to just cut off the damage rather than trying to save it bc it could ultimately ruin the hair that wasn’t damaged. I wish I had some recs for maintaining the split ends but I honestly am unsure. I hope you find something that works for your hair! 💛
