I never saw Rhaenyra as queer and I don’t think acknowledging that she sometimes wants to be a man in a world like that is not explanation enough. I just don’t think they set it up in a good way

This show has been gory and violent, The show has been sexual, and the show has been political since day one. The Boys have been making fun of American politics from the left and the right from the beginning if you’re just now noticing that, you’re just willfully ignorant. Just say you don’t like season 4 and leave it at that, because you just sound dumb saying all this is new and suddenly out of nowhere. The people that are complaining don’t like season 4 and the show now because they just now realized the show is making fun of people like you.

Season four narrows the show closer to the events of the comic no point in complaining about the show and it’s politics when the comic had already been doing it

Okay saying the show is suddenly political (which it isnt) is one thing, but are you really claiming the gruesome violence is anything new??? The first episode had a girl literally getting blow up in like the first 10 minutes! Then they blew up translucent! The gore and sex shit has been part of the show since the first episode.

I grew up when we all got along and political talk was off the table. This whole us vs them is ruining America. Most protesters on the right and left now don't even know all the facts they are just driven by feelings over logic.

When the series started off by making fun of Disney and the superhero genre, that wasn’t too in-your-face, but this somehow is? And don’t you think there is a legitimate parallel between the way Vought and Homelander try to manipulate people en masse, especially through patriotism, and the way conservative media and Trump do the exact same thing?

No I think the whole point of season four being so upfront was the fact that the wrong crowds were getting the wrong ideas from the show thinking Homelander was the hero

Im not defending the show for a variety of reasons, but the whole thing, from start to finish has been about politics😑 The showrunners themselves have said since season 1, that HomeLander is just an allegory for Trump. How can you talk about bad writing when you lack visual and reading comprehension as a basic concept, and are only just queuing in on this now?...

Because this episode was basically designed to get the thought in the heads of the Targaryens about the dragon seeds, I would save judgment for after the series is over. These are the type of episodes that build on character motivation, as well as introductions to important characters in upcoming seasons so overall not agreeing with this take yet.

I think they're dragging this Deamond hallucination plot too much. I agree with your point that Daemons character is usually a mystery. Look at the battle at the stepstones. No one knew what he was up to hence the disagreement between Corly's and his brother. I also hate that they're making Raynera into this docile character. She lost her daughter and her son because of the Greens and she is not angry as a mother. The first emotion felt of loosing a child as a parent is RAGE. Sadness sure but mostly rage. Look at Cersei in GOT. She was angry when they killed Jeffery that's more realistic. I need her to burn shit down.

Corlys more than showed he was worthy of being hand of the queen. They showed he commands respect at Rhaenyra's war council. He controls the largest fleet, he's fought in wars, he's traveled the world, he sat on Viserys's small council and was a prominent member, he's the grandfather of Daemon's daughters and in name Rhaenyra's sons. He's the obvious choice. There's no reason to question the decision to make him hand of the queen.
