melee clashes have been destroying me! I didn't know why when i use a melee attack, the opponent always seemed to hit me, even when i started my attack earlier. is there a guide to find out which mobile suit's attacks come out fastest? is there a universal 'jab' type of animation i can look for so i know if ill win a melee clash or not?

I don’t know why but after I play Gundam vs Gundam next plus, when I move to this game, I always keep my eye on the Exia if it was my teammate (no clue why) But honestly, it’s quite nice to use the Exia

This is great, I live in Japan and as a long time fighting game player I really want to give gundam a shot.

Not enough far ranged floored 5Sub. Some good times to 5Sub are at 0:30, 1:13, and 4:26 where you are far enough for the missiles to track very well. 5Sub: -Saves partner -Forces opponent to over extend their dodge -Lets you land first -Does a lot of damage -MAKES PEOPLE LOOK AT YOU -Has better tracking than CSB and 8Sub! I hate seeing Heavyarms that ignore 5Sub for CSB and 8Sub and think they need to monkey in to be good. Break cancel is nice but if you don't force movement or garner attention with 5Sub, you don't really play Heavyarms. You just like flipping around like any other unga suit.

Gamplay Loop: The gameplay loop I find with Heavyarms is unload a full Neutral Sub when no one is looking at you. If it grabs an opponent's attention, perfect. Start dodging like crazy and capitalize on countering their landing when playing defensively. If they get tired of you and look away again, Neutral Sub again. It can save your partner a few times too. Chasing with 5Sub: 5Sub seems to have the best tracking on his missiles, even better than 8Sub. Really good at any red lock range to make them move. If you aren't using full 5Sub, people can easily ignore you and just bully your partner no matter how close you are, so don't think 8Sub is always better than 5Sub. Sometimes to dodge 5Sub, suits will cut tracking with step. That's technically a good thing as it allows you to catch up to faster suits with your BC movements and suffocate them with Main/Melee. Movement Choices: 2BC~StepBA is stronger than 8B imo. So is 4/6BC~A. Even stronger than all of that is just stepping normally. You can BC all over beam rifles and missiles but Gerobi will kill you. 8B can hop over Gerobi but you must Step out of it quickly to not land on the Gerobi. Funnels will stuff out 8B and BC. Just regular step to avoid funnels. 8B and 4/6BC~B work decently against melee.

Really enjoy these uploads. I so wish to play EXVS in a tournament format someday!

Good event and commentary! Been playing a bit more MBON lately. There has been a few more team free lobbies than usual this past month which has been great. I’m hoping we can continue to reestablish at least a small percentage of the player base, so the non-pirating part of the NA community, still has a game to play until EXVS2, GVS2 or whatever the next planned console title is, finally gets unveiled.

I appricate your guides. I picked this up on sale and coming from Gundam Versus the game feels the same, yet ao different. It's nice learning the new techs and proper techniques with real time explaining.
