Happy holidays! Here is a full video about a pair of Bald Eagles catching and eating tiny fishes on a spillway in Mystic Lake near Boston. I recorded all the video clips about two months ago, and finally compiled and edited a video out of all the raw clips to share with you.
It's relatively rare and very fun to watch this pair of Bald Eagles enjoy getting some easy fishes on the spillway. These tiny fishes are likely baby herrings hatched this late spring, and they are migrating to the ocean to grow up in salt water.

A grackle kills and eats a sparrow After doing bird feeding over three years, this is the first time I watched a Common Grackle killing and eating a sparrow, very likely a House Sparrow. Not exactly sure how the sparrow got caught and killed, the grackle teared up the sparrow body, ate some parts and took the rest away.

I live in Las Vegas, and all we have here are the outcast birds that everybody hates and wants to kill. We have pigeons, starlings, sparrows, grackles, and mourning doves. All I ever hear people say about them is "that's some mighty good eatin' right there, I tell yew wut" our birds don't have a lot of friends, but all of them are my buddies and I take care of them and give them plenty of food and water. It's not until you start taking care of outcasts that you find out how mean and shitty people can be. I have learned much from all of these amazing critters.

I travel between Indiana and Florida often, and I could definitely tell a difference between the sounds of the crows. I wasn't sure if they were American Crow vs Fish Crow, or if they were simply American Crows with a different "dialect" -- but now I know, thanks to your video! Thank you so much for this!!

Wow. I didn't think they'd come in that low into the bushes. I put broomsticks crisscrossing their water bowl, hoping it would deter them. Not that I have a lot of hawks in the area. In slow motion, you can see that squirrel bit the f**k out of that hawks leg. That's why it let go.

Everyone is talking about how agile the squirrel is, but no one is talking about how damn fast the buzzard swooped in! I didn’t even see it at first glance! (Also, a side note): that red tail looked rather small. Here in the eastern U.S they get big enough to take on rabbits without much of an issue.
