Community campaigns and protecting the environment: #CroakeyGO
Dr Amy Coopes speaks with Meredith, a local resident who joined the #CroakeyGO, walking from Kandos to Rylstone in the rain. She describes community campaigns over many years to protect the local environment. What sustains her in these longstanding fights? Gardening, walking and spending time in the environment. Meredith also laments a lack of local healthcare services and difficulty accessing GPs. The combination of journalism and health drew her to participate in the #CroakeyGO.
