I saw a rent in the movie adapt I saw the Phantom of the Opera movie adapt. This movie coming out adapt. This huge musicals are so expensive and when you have an opportunity to amazing musicals like. To me these movies makes me want to see the actual place to like rent and dear Evan Hansen and Phantom of the Opera. Les Miz. Okay I can't get the stupid autocorrect to actually write the real play down so blame it on auto correct. But any of these movies you got an opportunity to see the actual plays are still amazing. So the movie shows at really different type of worlds in their play does. Place and sales are just as amazing onstage and offstage so if you would like musicals and if you're not such a stickler to the movie and the adaptation of the plays and like me you both I love cats the movie I love cats the play is still singing is still dancing. It still tells the story and that's the most important thing. The musicals are going to be different cats all the time and so if you want the original then you're basically out of luck we're lucky that writ brought back a least half their original cast and we're lucky that dear Evan Hansen brought back the main star of the original cast. But there's no guarantee that they're going to do the same thing they're just lucky and it worked out and it worked out for the taxes to come back to to do that so we need to be able to still respect the characters in the play and don't think about how good certain actors are musicals are played by different actors all over the world so just lower your standards and just enjoy the musical and the storyline to it

Loved your reaction! OMG! DEH is one of my top ten musicals of all time. Can’t wait to see the film although it seems very different from the Broadway show. The cast is amazing they went for star power over the original actors but it’s obviously an adaptation not a straight forward transfer. Have you seen the bootleg video of the original show? It’s on TH-cam if they haven’t taken it down yet. Of course the quality isn’t professional but it captures the experience of the live performance very well.

The thing that it looks like they actually respected the original Broadway story is amazing.

aside from ben platt reprising such an iconic role which I know he'll do ever so well in, im also curious and excited for Julianne Moore and Amy Adams playing their respective mother roles. Music soundtrack as always makes me tear up. I cannot wait to hear Ben Platt sing Words Fall too in the film - my favorite track.

This made me cry- and I know nothing about this, I’ve only watched the trailer.

It’s not you bro, but this trailer is really making this movie look horrible to people who have no idea what this movie is about. Be open and honest and tell the parents the truth and move on. Instead this 45-year-old playing a 16-year-old uses, somebody he doesn’t know, death as a way to fulfill his own needs.

Loved this! It gives me chills seeing DEH give others chills lol. DEH is by far my favorite musical too and I'm obsessed with it. I'm sorry you haven't been able to see it on stage - I hope you've been able to see some "online" tutorials :) The movie looks like it's going to be amazing! Speaking of "Waving", there are commercials that just started running advertising the trailer and the first one has "Waving" as the background music and shows a clip of how it will be done - it's posted on my channel if you wanna check it out :)

It would've been nice to get the original cast or at least most of them like they did with "Rent", but I'm still excited and at least they did get Ben Platt to return, and he was the original Evan Hansen. No lie I'm more excited for this than I was for Greatest showman and I saw Greatest showman 3 or 4 times in the theaters

I'm most excited to see the song "So Big" because it reminds me of my mom and her struggles through my childhood. Between an abusive father and my own poor mental health growing up, all I can hear when this song plays is my mom. I'm going to take her to see it when it comes out 🥰

The original Connor actually has a lead role in West Side Story coming out in December (he's featured a ton in the trailer but has short hair, so you might not have noticed). I'm guessing his schedule was busy with that.
