After all these years of bf1942 being the only game I play, I've never played the mods. I'll look into it.

On Moongamers on Sunday evenings. Saturday evenings there's often CTF, Sunday evenings expansion maps.

You got it. I was almost done editing this video and really wanted to upload it but I still needed a zookend to end it. Went online, it was a quite intense battle at Iwo but I found a quiet spot in the bushes amid the killings and explosions. Shot it and immediately uploaded the video :D. Moongamers zookcam freezes halfway through though, I'll ask around to see it they can fix that. See you on the battlefield bro

@@hagenzonganji Of course hehe, in my case, when I made that perfect zook, the zook froze just before crossing the camera and made it play over and over again, it was a thunderous noise so surely everyone noticed that zook I made in Market Garden. LONG LIFE BF1942 💪🔥

Hey man, thank you. Always fun to edit some awesome adventures we had. Time to make some new ones :-) My raw recordings from around 2020 take up to about 200gb. That was way more before sorting and deleting the unusable recordings. And yes that was a lot of work as it was several years of footage haha. Nowadays I sort, delete and name the recordings right after I play, so it's way better manageable. I also try to make shorter recordings instead of letting it record for ~10 min every time. (I mapped the start/stop recording shortcut to the numlock button so the light on the keyboard is on when recording, very handy.) My working folder with all the old and new footage, edited clips and renders now takes up about 750gb. I have a 2tb external hd so I don't have to worry about disk space anytime soon. I record in 1080p (and render and upload in 4k so that TH-cam will use it's high quality codec for playback). I then trim those raw recordings and create the shorter clips I use for my videos. I do this trimming very easily in Quicktime on Mac. (I can now delete the raw recordings if I want to but I keep them as backup). I edit in Davinci Resolve on Windows. I love it and it's free. It also helps me with sorting the clips because you can give the clips specific colors and colored marking flags which really help to keep an overview.

@@hagenzonganji Lots of work for sure. Always nice to see the end result though and plenty more laughs to be had when editing. I used to record entire games in full and that was a huge PITA, so now usually just reset it after a few minutes. Renaming, sorting etc of the clips right after you play is definitely the way to go. Some great tips there Hagenz. I'll download Davinci Resolve and try that out before I start editing these new clips I have. Can't remember the last software I used but I do remember it being a headache at times

I always use the 'Battlefield 1942 HD TechTeam' download. I think it's this torrent: team-simple.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=656 The servers Moongamers and Simple are very crowded these days. Often 35 vs 35. (Simple had some server issues lately and I'm not sure if it will automatically appear in the server list, there is a fix for that somewhere.)
