In mid July I discovered the overlanders nirvana! Borah Peak (elev 12,662′) is Idaho's highest. This is a relatively untraveled region. Subaru Outback Wilderness.

A fine gravel route through the vast Weyerhaeuser holdings. About 30 miles one way, this route is completely through private property. Most of this land is leased to the Clear Creek Rod and Gun Club. The club is very strict about non-members travelling on the land. There are dozens of side roads but ALL are private except for 39/2.

A nice easy 100 mile loop in northern Idaho and Montana. Moose and Elk seen on this day! Driving a Subaru Outback Wilderness through Kaniksu and Coeur d'Alene National Forests.

An exciting time with Kilgore Adventures!

A wonderful 120 mile dirt road trip! 90% of this trip is on Forest Service Road 250. There are washboards and a few muddy spots but a regular car could do this trip with care.

A very diversified 85 mile loop out of Lander Wyoming. This loop is pavement, gravel, and red dirt roads. From the Sinks of the Popo Agie River, to high alpine lakes, to ghost towns and mines, and the beautiful Red Canyon. The canyon requires some clearance and could be extremely slick in wet weather!

We did this road/ trail in early August 2023. No problems in the Outback Wilderness. The road conditions were dry.
