Es una ironía... Claro toda la canción y letra tiene una historia, que es la de la Artista en parte... Volviendo a la Frase, No querías lastimarme, me querías matar; es la respuesta Irónica a la Frase vacía de disculpas "No quería lastimarte"... A lo que ella dice: no querías lastimarme? No! Me querías matar!!

La canción habla de como lo superó, pero el tono en el que canta me hace pensar de que no 🤔 Sería interesante escuchar una versión del otro lado, algo como "Pero ahora yo quiero que vuelvas!" Ya que ese tono me suena a angustia o estar rogando.

The song is about Paul McArtneys car crash in 66 caused by him picking up a lady late at night and when she realized he was Paul from the Beatles she went crazy which made him crash the car. It's said he died and was replaced by another guy. The style is very Beatle esc and the video explains it all. That night it's said that Paul had a big fall out with the rest of the Beatles and drove away from the meeting place very angered and he picked up this woman to give he a lift and the rest is history. Look up the line, "And it's the fame that put words in her mouth."

Yea the real sad truth to why britney was never able to sound like this on most of her material is due to management abd her producer and record Label altogether forced her to changev it to what n how they wanted her to sound like so unfortunately she had to drop and lose her natural deeper tone vocal range for the many many year's she was signed to her record label jive record s so yea its very sad to know that even back then she had a big control factor over her choice as a person to become a brabd to sell to the public to make her up as what they wanted her to look abd sound like .. showing that was just the Beggining of her life being controlled by people all the way up to what we later found out what she had to endure under her conservatorship for 13 years under her dad and n her manager

Te explico porque parece que no te ha pasado, cuando dice no querías lastimarme me querías matar esta hablando metafóricamente; cuando se termina una relación por lo regular la parte que deja siempre suele tratar de enmendar con no eres tú soy yo o te mereces algo mejor, no se que paso no es mi intención que sufras pero no se dan cuenta que la parte dejada queda desecha hasta el punto de querer morir y que por más escusa que pongan prácticamente lo dejan morir con todo lo que se siente por esa otra persona ya la producción del video muy buena y refleja una situación de traición igual o peor al simplemente engaño
