FRUSTRATING FRIDAY!! VENTING ABOUT WORK PRODUCTION!
I have this trimmer in the Shindaiwa guise, sometimes the RPMs jump a bit too high for my liking. I'm running 2.7mm line which is like 0.1 inches, the overevving is worse with the 2.4mm line. It does occasionally shut down on me when it's really warm too, might be running on the lean side and it's basically new. The carb adjuster screws on mine has black plastic plugs on top of them and can be pulled out with a hot (and very small) flat head screw driver. Heat the tip up with a torch and jam the hot screwdriver in to the plastic plug and leave it there for 10-15 seconds and it should just pull straight out. And then we have control 😀
Is there any real noticeable difference in performance between the 755 and the 770? They both have the same size engine and are nearly identical.
What tool do you need
That thing is f****** awesome I want one
Maybe the worst video ever. Shows almost nothing and takes over 3 minutes to get to the point. I don't care about the well manicured lawns you work on. But even once he's getting close to the point, doesn't show how to accomplish the actual job. Unbelievable.
How much was this whole set up?
NOT TO BE A "CORRECTING INTERNET KAREN" BUT THE CLEAR HOSE IS FUEL RETURN LEFT PORT, AND THE BLACK HOSE IS FUEL SUPPLY WITH FUEL FILTER ON THE RIGHT PORT, AND THEYRE ACTUALLY T27 SCSREWS, HOWEVER MINES AN OLDER MODEL MAYBE THEY CHANGED IT. MY MAIN QUESTION IS WHAT IS THAT BRASS SET SCREW? IS IT LIKE A GOVERNOR? DOES IT ADJUST AIR AND FUEL? OR JUST AIR? JUST FUEL?
I believe he said fuel because there is an idle screw and that's it
Just about the most useless video on youtube
Holy shit man!! Thank you soooo much! I have been messing with mine now for years. I've replaced the carburetor 3 times, spark plugs and air filters. Now it f'n rips!! Thanks again
Do I have to pull the plug out?
You got a link to the tools i can use other then these blue ones?..i heard you said you,you broke the long one an order another one also is the short one needed
T27. Not 25
Mahalo for the tutorial. You’re the Man!
What about the top screw? What direction and what does it do?
Very good video. I'm dealing with El Toro Zoysia here in Hawaii. It's thicker and more robust than Emerald. Are you adding compost or fertilizer after dethatching ? I really don't want to encourage this grass anymore than it is. Also, you now expose bare ground. Does that leave an opening for weeds to take hold ? Pre-emergent necessary ? Our weeds are on steroids here ! Over 100" of rain yearly. Thanks again , Aloha
You need to just get to the point of us watching the video. We know all about the weed wacked it's why we bought it and owned it long enough to have to adjust it
Go get some p****. You obviously need some. Chill the f*** out
I got my Echo 500H running great today!
Get to the point. To much talk about non essential things. Your teaching how to adjust carb. Then get to the point and show it.
Thanks dude! She needed a hair of more gas! Runs great now.
Great video but I had to stop watching because was getting sea sick from the camera moving so much
3/16 drill bit. Go slow. Like magic, there she was!!
Is this a low or high idle screw? Thanks
Talk for ever and fly thru the important stuff and why I am watching 🤨
Used my mine 5 times before it started gassing out. Thanks to you that thing rips again. Awesome!
This post was so close to being useful then fell short.
Great tip! After a couple of years my carb started to give me fits. The replacement carbs are really cheap and your trick on pulling the brass plug a big help. It is not even pressed it, mine came out with just a gentle nudge from a pliers. It is really nice to dial in the full throttle to let it sing. Thanks!
IT WORKS!!!!! I had replaced everything. New plug, air filter, new bulb, lines, removed the mesh, fresh fuel. Nothing. I was about to trash it and go buy a new one. Followed your quick guide and PRESTO! I hope everyone else is paying attention. This is how TH-cam is done!
Do yourself a favor and trash it. Echo trimmers very rarely run right. Usually too rich leaking oil everywhere.
@@ChrisRJ LOL. incorrect.
@@ChrisRJ THATS BULLSHIT DUDE I JUST REBUILT MINE AND DIDNT EVEN REALLY NEED TO BUT IT WAS FILTHY AND WANTED TO DO OIL SEALS, PISTON RING, ALL NEW GASKETS, FUEL FILTER, FUEL LINES, CARB CLEANING. THING RUNS MINT. ITS THE FIRST EDITION OF THE SRM 225 AND IT RUNS LIKE NOTHING IVE USED BEFORE. THING IS NOT GARBAGE AND FAR FROM IT. YOU MUST BE ONE OF THOSE "STIHL" GUYS WHO DONT KNOW CHINA IS THE MAJOR SUPPLIER AND MANUFACTURER TO ALL OUR MODERN JUNK EQUIPMENT.
@@babylonfallssoon YES DUDE. MY NEIGHBOR IS A LANDSCAPER AND AFTER I REBUILT MY ECHO (FIRST TIME EVER DOING A SMALL 2-CYCLE ENGINE) HE HEARD IT RIPPING LIKE IT WAS NEW AND CAME OVER AND WAS LIKE WHAT THE FUCK THAT THING IDLES AND RUNS BETTER THAN MY STIHL LOL. HE WAS USING HIS STIHL POLESAW AND IT OSUNDED LIKE IT WASNTED TO BOG DOWN WHEN IDLING AFTER EVERY THROTTLE.
I've got the 30.5cc Shindaiwa/Echo brushcutter, it's absolutely rips. Awesome machine. The smaller one I recently purchased seems to run slightly on the lean side.
You sir are a f’ing legend thank you
Thanks so much.
Not helpful. Too much talk and tossing things around. Vague instructions and no hands-on as an example
hey dude, I’m stumped. I have a issue. I cannot figure out. I have tried everything but now I have a new issue. I took the throttle swivel thing off to clean it and to inspect it to see if anything was broken. Everything was fine. I cleaned everything and reinstalled it now my throttle is sticking. Any help would be so grateful I am broke and I cannot afford to buy a new one thank you so much.
I took mine out without taking it apart. Echo also makes a tool for removing the plug. But you can definitely get it out without the tool..just need a longer screw
Thank you!!! Fixed my carb!
update: They now covered with a small chunk of plastic. Just find a drill bit that will fit in there. Heat that fucker up to scorching red. Then press it in the hole till it goes through the plastic. You will feel it burn through. then let it sit there until it cools. When you pull it out the plastic will stick to the drill bit.
I ended up drilling too deep and damaged the adjustable screw. Wish I knew on the side you can see the adjustable screw ahead of time before drilling. Bought a replacement from Amazon for $25
Honestly youre going about this the hard way... the whole brass plug doesn't need removed on 99% of these depending on the piece of equipment. A cheap pick set from Harbour Freight will get the plastic plug out and a small flat head screw driver will work or if you have the carburetor tool kit from Hipa it will have the screwdriver in it that fits perfect.
Do you charge by the hour or by the load for curb side pick up ?
All that explaining and he didn’t say which way is lean and which way is rich
Lucky a window didn’t get blown out . Bet we’ve all been there lol
Worked like a charm I have a brush cutting blade on mine got it for free on a clean up job couple years back. Keep in in climate control storage. Just pulled it out today watched your video it’s running like a top brother. Big thanks! Got yourself a new subscriber! Ps I used a drill bit to get that “plug” out. Just don’t go to deep. For the ones complaining.
Thank you I just been working. And just replaced the filter work again 😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this great video! I fixed mine thanks to you!

It just doesn’t seem from all the videos I watch they just don5 do very good job of shredding the leaves. Still a lot of full size leaves
How well does it do in clay?
You naiked !Helped me immensely. First video I found that showed me exactly what I needed to know ! Thank you , I'm now a dedicated subscriber.
Do you charge by the foot and how much do you charge a foot
Prish😊
