MY FIRST CAFE RACER BIKE BUILD IS COMPLETE - GS500 EP 11
มุมมอง 4Kปีที่แล้ว
This episode concludes the Suzuki GS500 Cafe Racer build series. Over the past year I transformed this bike into a one of a kind cafe racer. Thanks to everyone who follow along! Video - @AdamFieldss_ (Instagram) On a real note, so relieved this build is over. SO many ups and downs, losing and gaining of interest, but now thats its done the reward feels like no other.
HANDMADE CAFE RACER SEAT UPHOLSTERY - SUZUKI GS500 BUILD EP. 10
มุมมอง 2.5Kปีที่แล้ว
Well, its a seat.... Not sure how i am feeling about the seat but its a seat. Was dreading this project but its pretty much done! Still want to clean it up a bit but it'll do for now. Learned exactly how not to make a seat in the future lol but glad it is finally dine. Only thing left for this project is the front fender, foot pegs, tail light, and a few other small things. As always, thanks fo...
ASMR MOTORCYCLE PURE SOUND (AN ATTEMPT) MT09 YAMAHA
มุมมอง 229ปีที่แล้ว
Ive been watching some ASMR camping videos recently and wanted to give it a try. I need to find a way to cancel out wind noice for the insta 360. I have a mic with a wind sock i may try to connect next time and just tie to the selfie stick. Also, ep 10 of the cafe racer build should be out Monday. Haven't uploaded in forever, so wanted to get something out!
CUSTOM CAFE RACER SEAT COWL WOOD/FIBERGLASS - SUZUKI GS500 BUILD EP 9
มุมมอง 3.8Kปีที่แล้ว
One of the last things do for this build is the seat which i have been dreadinggg. I decided to go with wood for the cowl, inspired by @milezero.racers (if you haven't seen his channel go check it out he is a true artisan) and for the base of the seat, which are fiber glassed together. Conceptualizing this has been super difficult, because of the way my seat lock is set up. The seat will be mad...
HOW TO HIDE YOUR BATTERY AND WIRES ON A CAFE RACER
มุมมอง 2.5Kปีที่แล้ว
Since a few of you have been asking, here is a video of my wiring and battery set up. i had to build and weld in a custom tray which has a custom fitting for the battery. Other than that I haven't had to do any other customizations, just moving things around. The battery is a Lithium Ion battery from Shorai. If your looking to build a cafe racer and hide the battery you WILL have to make custom...
PAINTING A GAS TANK AND WHEELS - SUZUKI GS500 CAFE RACER EP. 8
มุมมอง 4.6Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video i painted the wheels, exhaust, triple tree and gas tank. Overall I spent about 100$ on paint and supplies. The paint was used on the rear wheel was a metallic grey and a metallic was used on the front wheel. Both colors were used on a tank and 2x clear coat. Super happy with how everything came out and one step closer to finishing this build. Not going to show all the tedious work...
NEW EXHAUST AND FIRST START OF CUSTOM SUZUKI GS500 CAFE RACER EP 7
มุมมอง 8Kปีที่แล้ว
Bought this exhaust slip on off Amazon and was able to fit it onto the existing exhaust pipe. Came out super sick and sounds great. If you are looking to do something similar be prepared to weld! The new exhaust saved about 15 pounds. The old canister was super heavy and quiet. Also excited to see the bike running again! It took a few tries but it works! I rigged up a bottle of gasoline so i di...
CAFE RACER BUILD - RECONSTRUCTION EP 6
มุมมอง 3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The journey of putting the bike back together finally begins. In this episode i begin putting parts back on the bike so that we I can work on starting it. I still need to buy a good amount of parts as well as paint the wheels and tank so the wont be the "final" product as I am rebuilding. Also huge tip if your ever removing the engine/reinstalling - just remove the case cover. It made things so...
SHOULD YOU POWDER COAT YOUR MOTORCYCLE FRAME?
มุมมอง 3.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This was the first time getting a frame powder coating so learn from my mistakes! I deff rushed bringing it in and could have cleaned up a bunch of welds, but will be sure to do this on the next one. Where did I get the powder coating done? - www.kspowdercoating.com/ Total for the pieces done - $525 - frame - subframe - center stand - kickstand - rear sets - rear brake connecting bar All my tip...
PAINTING A MOTORCYCLE ENGINE - CAFE RACER BUILD SUZUKI GS500
มุมมอง 3.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Stoked on how the engine came out for this episode. I think it was a good idea to do the dark grey base layer. I haven't gotten the frame back yet but it should go together really well. For anyone trying to do this - patience is key. It took me about 10-20 hours total. Cleaning is super frustrating but I found wire brushes and micro fiber towels to work best. Paint used was just high heat spray...
CAFE RACER BUILD - MAKING A SEAT FOR MY SUZUKI GS500
มุมมอง 2.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this episode I attempted to make a seat out of Fiberglass. It was super frustrating and I am not content with how it came out. The lack of uploads is because the seat made me uninterested BUT I put the seat to the side for now so more uploads coming soon!
GS500 CAFE RACER BUILD - FITTING SHORAI BATTERY AND WELDING SEAT HOOP EP. 3
มุมมอง 2.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
If your following along this journey just want to say thank you for making it to episode 3! So, I decided to trash the original electrical pan I made due to lack of durability. Also there needs to be a metal crosspiece to support the seat and lock which will be welded on and the original tray would have needed to be cut in half. ANYWAYS, I welded on this new electrical tray as well as the seat ...
HOW TO HIDE ELECTRICAL ON A CAFE RACER AND REMOVING ELECTRICAL HARNESS ON GS500 BIKE BUILD EP.2
มุมมอง 4.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I made a pan that will go under the seat to hide all of the harness past the tank. I will be making the seat out of fiberglass, so ill be able to fit it in-between the bottom of the seat and this pan. I also decided on getting a Shorai battery after this video so i will be further adjusting the pan to fit the battery. I've found the wiring harness to be the most difficult part of ...

Well after two years how do you like the battery? I'm currently working on a cafe build.

I also have a GS500. Did you need to rejett after installing the exhaust? Hows it going 1 year later? Sick cafe mod on this bike. You inspired me to do something similar to my 2001.

Somebody wanna tell me how to find that exact muffler on Amazon?
Hey this might be a dumb question… but why don’t u just unscrew the side part? But anyways cool project!
Goddamn this is beautiful, great job!
thank you!
🔥🔥🔥
As my previous comment on the other vids, love the work you put into this. Can I ask where you got the Suzuki badge/decal for the engine?
Loving the series. Great job. Ive got the same bike and I've just stripped it back to get the frame powder-coated. I'm deciding if I should keep the handlebars or switch to clip-ons. With yours, did you get a new top triple tree that suits clip-ons? If so, can you send a link? I also installed a digital dash on mine as the OEM housing became brittle and the speedometer fell off when I tried to swap out the dash lights to LED.
@@tyronecastillo16 nice, send through some updates. I love the clip ons but it’s an aggressive stance. Not very comfy for more than a 20 mins ride. The clip on fit with originally triple
Another perfectly good bike destroyed ! Please stop this stupid bobber trend.
Are you in ca?

looks so good. great job!
Thank you so much!

Need a new bike to build :/
Nice build!!
thank you!
I’m having major problems with my 06 gs500. Not sure if there’s a lack of vacuum or what but I lose all power and rpm shoots up at higher speeds or temperature…. No idea
hm id say grab new sparks, and if not that a carb rebuild kit. carbs are easier than you think to take off and the rebuild kits are pretty straight forward. double check jets are not clogged, and the floats are working correctly. I had a Honda shadow where it was the floats. If none of that may be the gas lines or vacuum leak.
@@jimmybuildsbikes Thanks for the reply. I'll try to rememeber to follow up
I had the same problem. It was damaged hose with dummy plug in front of the carburetors. This hose has connection with throttle chamber and mixture was wrong. This hose was the reason for the valves burning out in my bike
I’m not a master welder. But wire speed will either burn it or put too much wire to it. Typically I keep mine in between 3 and 4 on the wire speed. On minimum for the amperage. I’m typically welding thin metals. But thick max and 3 on the wire speed. Also gasless welders are junk. Sure u can weld with them. But gas is where it’s at. Also spot welding with it helps. Couple second on. Couple seconds off. Jump around too. If u see it cherry hot. It’s too hot bud
Yeah i had mine on the same setting. it's a hand me down welder so had to work with what i had. I ended up bringing it to a friend with a gas welder after i got the base welds down. it came out a lot better
Howd you get that hoop?
ebay, but take measurements. they're not all the same size
I've got a 1992 GS500F and I love Youre Bike.

What putty did you use to cover the welds?
no putty ended up having a friend touch up the welds after with a tig welder
why would you waste your time chopping the seat it looks like garbage and no room for saddle bags
Your right, saddle bags on a cafe racer would have been fire 😂🔥
What a shame you ruined the stock bike for this!!
This comment 😂
@@supermoto_problems what’s funny about my comment?
@@Bassman1999 that I agree with you
Bah! His bike, he can do whatever he wants with it. At best a stock gs500 will soon be in the demolition pile. Nobody out there is fawning over a stock gs500. This guy wanted to do a project. He did it. Good for him. Yeesh!
Because a stock gs500 looks so desirable from factory lol
The best GS 500 in the world

Can I ask you the measurements of the oversized tires and whether they are directly adaptable to the original rim? 5:20
front - 120/70ZR-17 Rear - 160/60ZR-17 directly adaptable yes although my local shop said it took 4 people to get the rear on lol
Masakra popsuł cały motor
You replaced the seat with what is essentially a 2x4?
Nice job
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Building my gs500 this winter but don’t know what tire size to get, what size are you running?
Does the battery charge normally? Let's say the battery run out of juice, can you recharge with a trickle or do you need a special charger?
I’m sure you could but the issue is over charging these with a reg charger can mess it up. I bought the shorai battery tender which is compatible.
@@jimmybuildsbikes thank you
Have u got a link where u get ur battery/ charger?
Where is the Evap vapor charcoal canister?
I have no idea what this is lmao
What website is this bro
Not bad!!!!
Here are some tips that woork for me: - Do the seat and all the dirt stuff before painting - Never remove airbox and all the muffler from a carburated bike (will ruin the performance mostly at high revs) - Never remove completely the fenders Really cool GS BTW :) keep it up!
It sounds cool though LOL thanks 🙏🏻
عمل جيد
removing restrictions usuallt does the opposite. It CAN give slight performance increase at high revs, but completely guts the low and mid end, making the bike more "peaky" and less usable overall.
next time I can 3d print the backside of the seat
awesome work. so cool to see the process start to finish. Keep up the great content🔥🔥🔥

How much experience did you have working on bikes when you started this project?
