This was built by a man naled Rick or Reich prior to WW II he had a fine home and racetrack on part of the property tha woud become part of the Airport durung WW II. The parking lot formerly had several homes on it. There was a famous muder there in May, 1950. A 17 year old girl was strangled to death. A person was convicted but I am sure he was innocent because the police tried their best to frame at least 3 other people!

I met Hess Bomberger at an air show in Florida, many years back. I became interested in his WWII unit, the 356th Fighter Group, and have researched it quite a bit over the years. I was shocked to see Hess' home up for auction along with some of his personal items such as his pilot's ring. May I ask if anything has happened to him? It blows my mind how anything can come and go so fast. Our Safeway in Port Orchard changed to Haggen, and was a Safeway again just as fast. With all that money they spent, just wasted, you would think they would have had a better marketing plan. Who okayed this decision? Probably the biggest flop in corporate history. Quick, turn it back to Safeway, maybe no one will notice.
