ABL Memory Profiler: Are You Leaking Memory? - PUG CHALLENGE 2024
Sunil Jardosh - ABL Memory Profiler: Are You Leaking Memory?
In the world of bits and bytes, the most important currency is CPU cycles and Memory. Managing and monitoring the CPU cycles and Memory is one of the key requirements for cloud-based and on-premises application deployment. It is directly associated with the $/€ bill of the organization. Traditionally OpenEdge provides support for CPU profiling of the ABL applications but does not have similar rich support for memory profiling. Please join me to walk through our upcoming feature that gives insight into the memory footprint of the ABL application and provides the much-needed capability to detect any memory leaks in the ABL application.

I've tried using the ABL extension, but I simply seem to fail at obtaining any result; even when gathering the correct propaths and DB connections, the Output in VSCODE just plain put doesn't show anything. Is there any possible way we could have a Step-by-step guide to properly configuring the Progress VSCode extension taking into account a local Progress Installation so I can see the (probable) mistakes that I am making? Thank you for your time, a fellow OE programmer who's attempting to stop using PDSOE.
Hello. I tried the extension and I can't get it working. Is there any special configuration options to connect vscode with the existing project? All I want is to be able to edit end compile to .Rcodes. Thanks
