That is a lot of quality control checks for every pair of pliers. Hand filing the wire cutters then checking them cutting wire and string in two different QC stations all done by hand by Amercian workers. I didn't even know all of this took place, but my toolboxes have a lot of different Channellock pliers and cutters in them.

I almost took a job there on the DRAP line. I backed out because a former manager contacted me and warned me about a certain plant manager who was the yell, scream and kick trash cans type of manager. I still debate whether I should have gone to work there despite the fact that the facility ultimately did closed down.

I worked security there during the DRAP construction. Still remember the day a construction worker got killed there is a pretty gruesome manner. I always figured the guys down in refractory has a sweet job. For the most part they sat around unless there was a ladle burn through and the occasional ladle reline. For the most part they had a big pit BBQ going on down there on most days.

Thank you for making and sharing this video, this was very clearly explained and slowly walked through at each step - very good. Admittedly, it's a little confusing with all the different makes & models of hardness testers out there and what the levers/knobs do, but it seems like they all pretty much operate the same way. Do you perchance have any opportunity to make a video that walks through calibrating/resetting a hardness tester? I know you need a hardness standard to do that and then you would just run through the same process that you've shown here in order to get a reading, but what would happen if the measurement result didn't match up with the standard? How would you compensate or adjust for that? Thank you!

Eu particularmente amos as ferramentas desta marca, elas são excelentes. Um vídeo completo de como eram fabricadas, eu acho que não mudou muito vendo alguns vídeos mais atuais.
