i've said this since the beginning of stanning svt, Minghao is a type of guy who'd make u feel like following him, and no not blindly following him, the type to inspire u in a way that you'd look up to him I honestly feel like gatekeeping him sometimes because it's a fact that not everyone can understand his artistic vision, and i don't want him tainted by unworthy fans(sorry no offense, but u know it's true)

Agree or not Xu Minghao gives off that intimidating aura, especially to people who are facing him for the first time

the thing he said about why he started without chatting first really shows how much he cares about helping the trainees improve, it reminds me a bit of what i like about my martial arts instructors, its training that isnt about arbitrarily pushing yourself but about understanding what's needed to get better. a lot of comments correctly point out how minghao isnt rude about pointing out mistakes, but i also like how he isnt coddling either, bc thats also smth that can feel very condescending and demotivating ime

Honestly I love how Minghao really cared for the trainees but I also love how receptive the trainees were. They weren’t getting irritated with him or making snide remarks. I try to teach like Minghao, being thorough, caring, and accommodating but if the trainees don’t have the receptive attitude it is very difficult for the trainer to teach

he’s a very good trainer and teacher, he points out mistakes and inconsistencies without being super harsh or scary. His teaching style is gentle and constructive and I really think it’s beneficial for the kids he’s teaching

The funniest part is when they say that it only took him 5h to learn the choreography but in SVT he is the slowest one to learn a choreo because he has a bad memory. Love him, love everything about him, but it blows my mind to imagine that if it took him 5h, most members of SVT would have learned it in maybe 2h or 3h.

He shows genuine sincerity for the trainees and he explains really well too. I really love to have a mentor like him ❤

Hao's way of training reminds the trainees that this is their dream, and he's going to help them however he can to chase it. He isn't biased; he just uses what he knows to help them do their best and get that much closer to the dream. Even if you don't make the final cut, you've improved under Hao's tutelage and are less likely to give up.

The8 doesn’t need to be scary to be a good teacher. He’s very kind and gentle, but he still has high expectations. And all the students work hard not because they’re scared of him, but they must feel awful if he uses his disappointed voice and they don’t want to let him down.

Minghao did an amazing job, he didn’t blame them for making mistakes. Instead he simply pointed out what could be bettered in order to deliver the performances a better way, and told them how they could do it. My dance teacher used to do that as well, thanks to this kind of teacher, the students will improve faster. And yes, synchronization is important for any Seventeen member
