I live in Illinois, and she joined a Facebook page for the Highland and Chicago area. She claims she has a now 6 month old and is looking for other parents to meet and socialize. She even posted her baby registry when she was supposedly pregnant. Had 120 items only a pack of diapers were bought.

Not to mention she also texted her stepdad pretending to be her mom and texted her friend asking them about dead bodies. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't sound like a schizophrenic person who had just killed somebody.

What is wrong with kids these days. At 14 I just wanted to have fun, hang out with friends and talk about boys. I loved spending time with my parents and would never of thought about hurting them.

No she is sooo smart skipped 2rd grade. She hiding things from the camera and then calling her step dad to come. Premeditated she been dreaming of this day. So now your facing big girl time. Oh now your mentally unstable. I don't feel bad for her at all this is what she wanted. Also I have been diagnosed with depression bipolar and anxiety I don't not take the meds the doctor want to give me. Only thing I can do that doesn't have 50000 side effects is my dearest friend Mary Jane. I never felt the need to kill specially my own mother. Blame her nothing else just her.

It is funny how people think all these meds for messed up kids are ok. Then blame those same meds for the things those same messed up kids do. Kinda "messed " UP. Glad I grew up in the 60s.

Why are these kids doing these horrific things! We just wanted to smoke 💨 grass , eat, and giggle 🤭! These kids are just a whole different animal!

Did they evaluate her for psychopathy?? It's a sad story to hear, I don't believe she was insane at the time but there had to be some mental health issue there (still does not justify her actions that day, she knew right from wrong knowing to hide the 🔫).

I have autism and ADHD. Not a lot has gone well. We get ZERO protection in the workplace, are frequently socially excluded and higher education is not at all built with us in mind. Despite the fact that a number of historical great minds have likely been autistic. At the end of the day: at least my mother didn't torture me to death. WTF is wrong with people?

Kate lied and this is proven. Her mom did not and does not have Munchhausen by proxy at all and she tried to silence her mom from telling me the truth and those messages as well as everything else prove she lied. She publicly defamed (major!) an entire doctor in an entire hospital and her mother. This was not medical abuse. This was not munchaussen by proxy. The hospital and everybody knows and is aware. The interviews have already been taken down or relabeled. She did this for attention and to interject insert three years, herself and the gypsy roast drama and fame. Hence the dupers delight. There is something wrong with Kate. Her mom never had CPS called her dad did for taking the cast off and it was closed. Kate has one child and CPS took her child and gave it to her brother. She’s 9. Her mom never had any of her five kids taken or removed. Dad is just as responsible as mom. Kate admits in the hidden true crime interview that she tried to unalive herself twice and then the third attempt when she had her daughter taken, came out with all the gypsy and Nina Drama. Yes, there is something seriously wrong and mentally ill about somebody who not only diagnosed herself with PTSD and depression but also attempted to take their own life three times in ten years and refused to get immediate inpatient psychiatric care for that mental health crisis each of the three times. Even now after her daughter witnessing the third one. The attention seeking behavior that she has projected for over 15 years even before her amputation reaching out to people like Justin Timberlake and Oprah and Donald Trump before her amputation, even took place, to tell a “story” is Damning. All the content creators and people that she has manipulated and used to spread this defamation is egregious and anybody that part it should be ashamed of themselves for not doing their homework and research. This is why the news and no reputable journalist would even touch this let alone with a doctor or anybody else. This you is not the truth. Kate’s mom didn’t flee South Carolina she was living in South Carolina for years. She watched her give birth to her daughter. She even had custody of her daughter for months before she turned two. Kate herself is the reason why her daughter was in the hospital to begin with. Kate also has many many people she’s used and lied to and manipulated and betrayed who have spoken the truth and will not standby and watch her claim medical abuse or Munchhausen by proxy all of a sudden. She’s actively hurting so many still. She really needed to have the amputation after so many surgeries to try to save her heel and foot she did have scoliosis. She only chooses little pieces that she thinks fits her narrative, but they actually don’t when you look at them. She did have scoliosis as well. Sadly. This didn’t age well and is a huge embarrassment knowing what we do now. Instead of emailing and texting and calling all recorded, threatening people, even threatening her mom, if she tells anybody the truth of how she really lost her leg; she focused on herself serious inpatient help and focusing on being better for her daughter. This is done and over. It’s a lie. She came from a broken unstable, family, and home just like everybody else on the planet has and she really did endure limb loss. You can also reach out to Dr. David Westbury who did her amputation and subsequent three surgeries. Oh, but she doesn’t show her psychiatric records from when she was 15 and now… she also doesn’t tell you about how she had to have three subsequent surgeries to her amputation because her mom was already gone at that time. The only person that was responsible was herself, and that doesn’t fit the narrative. Out of mom, dad and five siblings; none corroborated. There has only been about six confirmed cases of MBP and it’s a very specific criteria to meet Kate and gypsy are both not even close to a real confirmed case. Of six 5 proxies died before age 10 and all but one had only ONE proxy. Five out of those six cases the caregiver was injecting with needles to cause medical crisis immediately and the compulsion doesn’t stop or pause or leave or fane, it gets stronger more often and takes over. Insulin air bubbles, high levels of salt via water, etc. those confirmed cases at the very most four years tops before death occurred in proxy. Only one proxy. Only one person with this exhibited doing it to more than one person, but she was stopped before that was allowed to even happen because her subsequent children were all taken the minute they were born. She didn’t get the opportunity to possibly use them as a second or more proxy after the initial. In 2010 Shriners hospital also had and still does digital cameras in their rooms and they utilize them in operating rooms for malpractice and for medical billing . This is how the very few confirmed cases have been caught in many hospitals across the country since 1987. MBP is extremely rare. Statistically for the last four decades we’ve already seen the amount of cases that we shared for 330 million citizens in the USA. However, with Kate’s mental health issues and her extreme excitement at getting her leg taken off as you can see in her Twitter pages at 15 it’s still exist both of them as well as her Facebook, it is more likely that she herself has munchaussen which is not very rare. Infact she wasn’t listening to her drs between 9-16 or her parents and nurses at home or anyone and became a very troubled teenager. Dirty hands and picking is very very common in children and teenagers. Four other kids in that home and at the very most, her mother was neglectful by not making her listen to the doctors and follow doctors discharge instructions because not a single one of them ever saw the mom touch her let alone clean the wounds. Kate is very ill to create this drama and fake story for attention and positive praise and fake strong survivor warrior false reputation and for 190,000 TikTok followers. People knew that this wasn’t right people questioned that this wasn’t right and they knew this story didn’t sound right. Turns out, it wasn’t at all. Over four months of work over 1500 hours and more than 70 contacts and people reaching out to tell their story, their voices and experiences even being raised in the same home, can’t be silenced. Her family loves her, but they also know she needs serious help and needs to get her shit together so she can get her kid back from CPS. Also being a part-time EMT worker for the past 10 years and also having three attempts in the last three years; that should also be a big sign to her job that something isn’t right. Hopefully between her job and CPS they can encourage her to get help for her daughter sake. We pray for Kate but it’s up to her to right her wrong and publicly apologized to everybody and to have these interviews taken down. It’s also up to her as a grown woman to make the proper choice for her mental health and to get help that she desperately needs. She is exactly like her mom. Just like gypsy; her mom never murdered anybody yet she’s a convicted murderer. Kate’s mom never had any of her five kids taken from her or an open CPS case but Kate has for only one child. And her mom wasn’t perfect, but her mom did not medically abuse her and she does not have munchaussen by proxy.

Even the biopic of her, is extremely sympathetic to her.

While I understand that this is a mental illness, I still find it incredibly frustrating and somewhat offensive. As someone with invisible illnesses myself (although about half are "provable" things like type 3c diabetes, two herniated discs etc) it's already really difficult to be taken seriously and get proper treatment without doctors having the added suspicion of stuff like this. And it's SO FUCKING HARD when you have debilitating pain that requires you to be on opioids. I'm always in pain and some days I'm even bedridden. I'm grateful for the opioids I DO get (Codeine and a lowish dose of Morphine) but it's just not enough because doctors are so stingy with giving out narcotics.

If she's addicted to narcotics then what she is doing would fall under "Malingering" which is LIKE Munchausen but where the person is doing it for personal gain (In Hope's case - if she IS an addict - opioids)

It was a 30ft (914cm) drop that she had to get out of after all of that torture. This story has never left me. Her sheer strength and determination is purely astonishing. I can not believe he was let out of prison to then kill again. After only 8 short yrs in prison for good behaviour (what a joke). He then died in 2001. He should never of seen the light of day.
