Something like that. So I actually have 2 weatherproof Cat5 (RJ-45) jacks on the side of my house just for the show. One jack runs LOR protocol and the other runs DDP. I have a network switch on my desk that both my desktop and show controller are connected to, but it's not an exclusive network it is on my main network. No problem! Best of luck with your display!

I don't recommend these beams but to answer your question, eBay. But you can find them on Shehds and Amazon as well.

I'm using DDP (Distributed Display Protocol). MavWare is just the name. At the heart its a Genius 16 port 2022 Edition.

Thanks! I appreciate the info! Yeah these ones are just some chepo UKing beams. This is one of the final shows at this location where I'm limited to what I can do, at the new place the beams are going to go on the roof and I will invest in newer brighter ones. I'm actually looking at Dominar's new model that's weather proof and really bright! Although their really expensive I think I'll end up bighting the bullet. I'm going to keep your info in mind though in the event I don't put them on the roof.

what moving heads do you use?

​@CooperVanWingerdenOfficial These are UKing Beams with 60 watt bulbs. I really don't recommend these as they require a lot of particle matter in order to be visible. For instance the night I filmed these videos it was misting. They also need to be covered when not in use as their not outdoor fixtures. But they are a good way to get familiar with using beams in a display as they only have 13 channels per fixture.

Thanks!!! So the lights under the moving heads are just simple floodlights. 75 watt bulbs in those. And your correct I do cover the moving heads when their not in use. I just use a clear freezer bag and put it over.

Nah that's not how it works here. I can use my purchased copy of the song for residential/private shows and I'm allowed to use it here because this is a non-profit channel. They take any ad revenue generated on the video. Anything commercialized without a proper agreement would get you in trouble, you need a special license but obviously that's not the case here. If they didn't want me to use it, they either just take the video down or block the video worldwide. But this is just a simple fun Halloween light show! I think It'd be cool if they saw it.

I'm unable to send links at this time. These are UKing 60 watt beams. You can get them off Amazon or eBay. I'll be honest I wouldn't recommend these as they are Low Power beams. I would recommend something that's 100 watts or more. Do these work? Yes of course, the video proves it. But fog is a must! Lot's of it too! To get it perfect in these videos I actually had to use 2 fog machines, 4 fans and 1 blower to keep the fog concentrated over the lights!

Dancing skeletons would be cool! But maybe he should save those in case he ever does a light show for "Hassan Chop!" by The Offspring.

I can't post links here (as of right now anyways) but these are 60 watt UKing beams. If you look these up on Amazon, eBay or SHEHDS you'll find them. These are low power beams, fog is a must!

Thanks! I always tell people to start with Light-O-Rama. They have a nice basic starter kit to get you familiar with light synchronization and their equipment is awesome. That's how I started and I still use their CTB16 controller

Yeah! I recommend Light-O-Rama for anyone just getting started with lights like these! Their equipment is awesome. I still use my original Light-O-Rama CTB16 controller for the AC/Traditional lights. I would order direct from their website. They even have a starter kit which is what I bought a few years ago!

At some point maybe I will! It's a good song
