The Price is Right Big Winner! 9-27-77
Almost 37 years ago, my precious wife appeared on The Price Is Right and walked away with a Cadillac and a Ski Boat! She is a lucky lady................but not as lucky as I am to be married to her for almost 41 years!

Awesome, David!!! I was thinking about "ye good olde days" of The Price Is Right, and came across this clip. I was thinking how much more exciting it seemed back then, prizes were high quality and not disposable (think of microwave ovens that cost $500+ THEN!), and how clean cut and put together everyone was. It was great to see such deserving and appreciative young people win all the prizes! And it's even more gratifying to learn that you remained married to your wife and continue to have such gratitude!!! Talk about a happy story. Cheers to you, and many more years of happiness for both of you!!!

$6320 for that boat in 1977? That price could've been useful for a somewhat decent car for 1977 standards, like a Camaro.

Notice the Mercury outboard was not as described. Johnny said 1150 but the motor shown was actually a 700 70hp model.

In 1977 when that was aired basically she had to stay in line just to win those prizes but it's the afterward that she had to endure basically she had to pay the state tax the sales tax and basically the federal income tax at that time because it was a much smaller tax but as of now in 2021 everything is so dog gone expensive it's not even funny

FANTASTIC DAVID! Couldn't be more happy for you both. Winning that day, and winning the Real Golden Road of your marriage ! As chance would have it, I drive a 1977 Cadillac like that as well. It is now December 2020, and mine has126,000 miles on it and the oil still stays clean between changes!

Wow, taped on the same day as Professor Price premiered (which didn't last that long with only 2 playings). Just curious I wonder if this episode here was taped before or after the premiere of Professor Price? Usually when new games debuted back then they often tape first... I think by then they still taped 3 hour-long shows a day until 1978 when it became 2...

Hey David, your wife basically adjusted inflated for 2019 won a $46,000 Cadillac and a with the exact bid done correctly your wife won $413, a 26,780 boat. As Bob said the income tax must have high to pay. So here are the questions I want to ask. How long did you keep the Cadillac and boat? How steep was that tax did you pay on those items? Also Happy 46th wedding anniversary to you two..
Great footage! Congratulations. Bob's face at 4:02 when he doesn't know the camera is on him is kinda funny. He doesn't seem to share in the excitement that your wife had in the prospects of winning that boat. Being a contestant on the show is a very special feeling and to win something is the icing on the cake. @@markheying2830 Range game, poker game, and a few others. Technically it would have been a perfect show had I won the 10K and not the 5K. One thing most people don’t realize is that there is a sign with the list of games off to the left, so Bob knows where to position himself on stage. I knew in bidder’s row what game I would be playing each time I bid.
