I was really hoping that Fardy would shoot the Russian Roulette leader, but what we got was also pretty funny. It's even funnier when you realize the game essentially gave you one of LISA's strongest base game party members for free.
That would've been good as well, yeah XD And yeah, getting Buckets for free is a real treat.
Hey mod author here, thanks for playing my game. It was hard to make and was basicly one of my first works but I tried have as much fun as possible making it. Originally I made it for myself but eventually it evolved and grew more and more. I spent multiple nights working untill 3:00AM to make this thing possible. While Alex and Joel themselves don’t have dialogue I’ve found many people to enjoy the mod for how it is so far. With all the gear and fighting involving the pair it’s really put a new perspective on the whole game with all the changes and tweaks I’ve made. The game is planned to get even more updates so don’t worry about the game getting stale. In the meantime I’m always up to chat and answer any questions you may have. Alright now that’s been said, it comes straight from me. WPB~
Oh, that is lovely to hear all that and if anything in particular comes to mind, I won't hesitate to ask. At the moment though, the only thing that would come to mind is a suggestion to potentially add my favorite baked fishman Cannabis into the mod, perhaps after killing that fishman slaver in the flooded orphanage area or something. But bear in mind that's just a stupid idea that I wanted to get off my chest and I get if it's not in the cards with the effort I'd imagine goes into modding LISA. Also wanted to say that all the newly included moves Alex and Joel are gaining and just their presence at the campfire is great even without dialogue. I could easily headcanon Joel naturally learning fingerbeam this time around coming from hanging around Beltboy and observing his own fingerbeam moves and inquiring about it. But yeah, sorry for the rambling, thanks again for all the effort put into this mod, and you can definitely count on another playthrough as it further updates.
@ i actually wouldn’t mind adding cannabis in because I don’t have to add dialogue for him in, and making him join would be easy. So I might do that next update for fun. And I do like that people have head canons for my mod. It’s what I like most to be honest. Because it fills in the gaps of interpretation that mod leaves behind and more importantly makes the player feel more accomplished in figuring things out in their own way. So please thank you for responding. I like hearing people out on my work. The game will always be getting updates until I feel it’s been perfected. I have more people willing to help work on the game so stay tuned. You never know when something nice will be added in
probably gonna give thoughts bouncing off description: Yeah, those sprites make sense, though it's probably due to seeing what Rodriguez is like. Let's face it, Alex and Joel already know this gang of four wants the girl, something neither cares about. So if you add on the fact they don't know the four's history and how Rod cares, but is rough about it...yeah very easy for the trashmen to view Rod as abusive or easily angered when he's the one that's sitting on his ass (Hell, that he said on handling *everything* means he often has the trio go out, so worse impression). Hell, given the dynamics unfolding, maybe, if the mod's updated to it, at certain points of the story some party members refuse to be active with others (as in not on the same team, not party conflict ala pointless.) (Cyclops with the trash duo, due to his aggravation and feeling babied, Alex, Joel or both with Rod at first due to his outburst, Lanks with Alex if it's revealed the old guy used to be a bully, etc.) Could see Beltboy always being fine with Joel, since he does feel like something of a gun nerd, so discussing firearms with Joel may be neat.
There's something very wrong when Alex is the fastest on the team (minus Joel of course) XD I live for the idea of Alex and Joel being like mentor figures for the hopeful boys. Heck, he even has experience with a woman, that would be interesting to hear when Beltboy mentioned Red at the campfire.

Haven't watched yet, but the dialogue, though a tad wordy, does get things right. May feel a bit stiff since it's mostly benny, liam and clyde talking to each other, same with alex 'n joel. Makes sense, they don't know each other, but it would've helped to see a bit of the dynamic form between the five people. Other than that, see what the hopeful crew think of the two's presence, be it the trauma kit being used, period, to their thoughts on the gang. (mind's foggy on hopeful and non-UMP alex, but maybe Joel's not all in since he 'n alex don't care for the girl, or Cyclops is annoyed they have MORE people to deal with, maybe even leaving due to the fairly moral standing of four guys, not just the idiots he's used to.)
Yeaaaah, that was just something I wanted to try briefly and on a whim. I'm _definitely_ not gonna bother with that going forward with each video. Either way though, thanks for your thoughts. It's definitely interesting imagining the premise for a proper 'Pointless in Hopeful' plot-wise.
Skip 10:52 - 12:17 and 12:30 - 14:09. I had RL stuff to take care of during capture so unless you want to take in the static that is the pause screen, I'd highly recommend just skimming over them.

I've been having a problem where character sprites don't show up in the menu and text doesn't show up completely, can anyone tell me how to fix it? I'm not sure where ele to turn... I haven't moved any files around, the only thing I did was make a shortcut for the game so I could get to it quicker
Oof, I wish I could tell you what the issue is, but I'm afraid I'm not the most tech-savvy person myself. Best bit of advice I can provide is to just try extracting the game's contents again after deleting your current version of the game, assuming that you haven't made much progress, anyway.

Yes... yes there is ._. I think it was an issue with trying to edit in my channel's intro into the video. Anyway, whatever it's worth, nothing really noteworthy or the new patched in content happens this episode and the future vids and I made sure to not include the intro, so the rest of the playthrough shouldn't have this issue.

The first two are in Silver Island. One can be found on top of a ledge at the far east, you'll find a thin column with a hole, simply enter and you'll find it. 2nd is in the rainy zone with the bar, inside of a caravan that is next to the oracle's house, its body is surrounded by some empty paint cans. The third one is inside that giant egg the old man is guarding at the boat-meeting spot in the open seas, offer him 40 mags and the egg (and the bird) will be yours.

Honestly, in all the years that I've followed Madness Combat, I've legit never really pondered or really wondered about how the Madness characters would speak, so it was certainly a surprising experience playing through Project Nexus for the first time and hearing these characters I'd watched for years finally have established voices. I will _definitely_ say though that I love Krinkels himself voicing hank and barely providing him with _anything_ to say other than grunts, Jebus/Christoff being voiced by Tomar, fittingly enough, and Doc/2BDamned being voiced by _the immaculate_ Gianni Matragrano. Oh, and while I always preferred Deimos over Sanford for a variety of reasons, Johnny freaking Utah voicing the latter and making him this bombastic surfer dude himbo was a pure delight XD. Whoever voiced Tricky too did a fantastic job, I can't get enough of the way his voice repeatedly glitches out.

The Flaming Man fight was both unexpected and more epic than one could imagine. Probably one of my favorite fights in this mod due to the hilarity of it and the music being played.

Yeah, the overarching story of Madness Combat is uh... _quite_ the doozy to make sense of. I requires paying attention to small details like what the posters across the animations say and the like, so I say there's no shame in wiki surfing to better understand the plot and world.

The open world Sonic game we should've gotten in the late 90s.
I certainly wouldn't have complained if SEGA dabbled in open world Sonic long before Frontiers. I particularly love how this reminds me a bit of the 'Sonic World' portion of the Sonic Jam collection, at least from what I've seen of videos of it. I think it's Classic Sonic's chunky 3D polygonal model topped off by his running animation, which looks a lot like the one from Sonic Jam to me.
Despite being replaced multiple times, I am glad Nancy was here until the very end.

I hear that. Sunko's Sonic mod appears done, but it really, REALLY would be awesome IMO if a future update gave you the option to toggle and replace the Noise and Fake Peppino with a rival and creepypasta horror to match Sonic. In terms of the Noise, personality-wise, I can very easily see Scourge filling in for him, especially with how one of the updated TV screens on the Noise's save select seems to feature him if I'm not mistaken (and aside from crappy Sonic OCs, I can't really think of any other green-furred hedgehogs that stand out), though even as I say that, I'll also admit that gameplay-wise, Blaze might be the better alternative to replace the Noise with how both characters have prominent spinning moves. (Either that or Bean or Fang ._.) As for who could replace Fake Peppino... th-cam.com/video/z2Ptwp_oYys/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Evanimas I really do feel like *_Shin Sonic_* would be the most fitting choice, especially with how 1:08 of that video fits the final phase of the Fake Peppino fight perfectly. Again though, I'd definitely hope that any hypothetical update that includes this would provide the option to choose between the reskins or not, especially since I legit enjoy the juxtaposition of everything in Pizza Tower being the exact same with the apparent exception that Sonic regularly hangs out at Peppino's and is scaling the tower in his stead.

Thank you for all the effort you and the other devs put into this mod. The vanilla Sonic mod was an absolute blast and easily one of my favorite Pizza Tower reskin mods, so it really is a delight seeing someone mod the lap hell mod into it as well, topped off by really good custom art to compliment it.
