Two points from the Women's 4.5/5.0 Doubles Pickleball Tournament. The Villages, Florida 6/20/23
6/20/23. Deb Harrison / Andrea Bobby vs. Heather Gannon / Julie Bosch in the final match.
The first point crosses the net 25 times with pounding overheads by Andrea Bobby and great defense by Heather and Julie. Deb is a backboard and just seems to always be able to keep the ball in play.
The 2nd point crosses the net 29 times. Andrea displays her athleticism but the final shot is all Deb. What's amazing is the great communication. Deb says, "Andrea!" then "You! You!" ... and then that final hit... Andrea yells, "Get hit Deb!!!" ... and she does.
Just great play all around. So fun to watch. Congratulations to all.

Final match. Jim Grant (3.5) / George Hept (4.0) defeat Rob Schultz (4.5) / Marc Levitan (3.0) by a score of 15-13. These teams faced each other earlier in the day during the round robin. In that game, Rob/Marc won over Jim/George in another very close game ... 11-10. Great day of pickleball! Congratulations to all!

The Villages Senior Games 2022 - Men's Singles 85-89 Hung vs Brend

Here is one point from the final Gold/Silver match between two 88 year old men .. Cheng Hung and Richard Brend. At the time of this match, Dr. Hung was undefeated in at least 5 other games to 11 win by 2 on a hot, Florida day. He won this last game as well earning Gold while Mr. Brend got Silver. Great play and an inspiration to us all to stay active!
