My late Grandma used to love this so much! I have vivid memories of her laughing uncontrollably with tears streaming down her face. This is iconic British comedy!

I loved Ronnie Barker. I watched a documentary on him and I just never knew how much script he wrote for other people as well. Such an amazing comedian who we’ve lost and will never see again as they’re all too woke and left winger. RIP to both of them

Absolutely genuine hunour. No vulgarity. Just simple observation

A billhook is a long agricultural implement, while a bill hook would be a hook that you can fasten to the wall and spike bills (invoices) on for safe keeping. Billhooks' is pronounced 'billooks' which sounds a bit like 'bollocks'. Or at least it's close enough for the audience to make the required mental leap to arrive at the joke.

As an American.... A few of these are a little lost on me lol

Talented men.We saw them at the Palladium in 1983.Fantastic show.The bar they were using for drinks was on castors and was pushed to the front of the stage.So was Ronnie Corbetts chair.As we were walking away from the theatre,we saw them both get into a red Jaguar XJS.We should have asked for their autographs,but it never crossed out minds.We bought a program that night.It's around somewhere.We HAVE moved house 4 or 5 times since then.
