    36m in / safe to say dog training & vet med/etc are one of the few jobs that cannot be overtaken by the AI revolution LOL

      I don't know if you've ever tried to use ChatGPT to give dog training advice, but it is pretty absurd what it comes up with... lol I definitely think our jobs are safe!

      @@airborne_k9 A few weeks back I used chatgpt to make Cedar a 30 day dog training plan & it's fine for pet obedience but wow even for just that it took me like 50 revisions to actually get something that made sense LOL

    I use the Dogtra 1900s, older one. My trainer suggested having the belt clip, put it inside front pocket with the clip facing out so my dog doesn’t see the controller. All I have to do is push the button with one finger and it looks like my hand is n my pocket. Works the same as handsfree. Good video.

      That's a really good method to use as well! I also find sometimes I prefer the actual remote, while other times, the figure kick is beneficial depending on what we are working on. I always tell folks it's all about finding what works for you. They are definitely a great product, and I love that they are adding the newer features that can be really helpful!

    Is the very end result where they get so conditioned to noises And achieved neutrality to that stimuli, that you phase out the box because it would no longer be needed?

    • @airborne_k9
      @airborne_k9 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Essentially yes! This skill is transferred into other behaviors such as an attention heel or a gaurding behavior where the dog is required to maintain focus on either the handler or something else despite the distractions around them!

    would love to try this with my dog, i've heard it can help with their confidence as well. is there a particular reason the dog has an extra thick collar? doesn't slip off as easy?

    • @airborne_k9
      @airborne_k9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for commenting!!! It is really a great exercise for confidence building and desensitizing. I like to use the thick collar in case I want to pull him back from the box and encourage him to pull forward towards the box more. I want to make sure the collar is thick enough that when he pulls into it, it doesn't cause any discomfort.
