This channel is for fellow animal lovers who just like to experience animals, nature and the artistic result from those passions. I do a lot of handling of my snakes, herping or running around in nature. As nature inspires the artist in me and my family, I also include some of the art my family and I get into here. Video editing and presenting these moments of my life is something I enjoy sharing with others who share these passions.
Christmas Snake Fairy Part 2
Something magical was sneaking about yesterday, looks like its a Snake Christmas Elf Orrrrr more of a Christmas Fairy. Some good snakes got Christmas presents in their snake stockings. Hermes definitely dug into his gift right away.
Not every snake gets to have a personal snake fairy show up on Christmas to deliver gifts! Very rare!
Loki, Maui, Hermes, and Calypso must have all been very good scaled reptiles this year!
Music:
Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy - an oldy but a goody.

Holiday Mountain Adventures December 2024

This was a compilation of a few hikes I did in the snow with Family and my partner Galen. First hike was with just my snow boots, dad and the family dogs Charles and Cooper. The next hike was kind of a failed attempt for snowshoeing as it was blizzard conditions when we got to the area we usually snowshoe and Dad ended up helping several folks who had gotten stuck in the snow. For not snowshoei...

Breckenridge Ski Day December 2024
มุมมอง 24221 วันที่ผ่านมา
Galen and I had an awesome Ski day at Breckenridge Resort this Saturday, December 14, 2024. First time I've skied in about 5 years, so I was pretty happy with how well I did. Galen did some beautiful boarding, working on his turns with his newer board that allows for sharper turns. I'm hoping I can get comfortable with getting more speed as I go. I can get a tad nervous going faster, so that's ...
Santurtzi, Spain Sunset Walk on the Pier - September 19th, 2024
มุมมอง 26หลายเดือนก่อน
This was the sunset walk on the pier Bri and I took our first day in Santurtzi, Spain. We wanted to get sunset photos at some point on the trip. Initially trying to do it in Barcelona, the weather there prevented it from happening there, so we changed plans when we saw how nice of an evening it was. We got a bit dressed up, especially Bri, who looked fantastic. At the end of this pier was a lig...

Bri and I continued our Spain Journey by leaving Barcelona and heading towards our true goal of the trip, the Basque Spain area around the City of Bilbao. We had wanted to visit Spain for the primary want of connecting with our late Grandma Bakers Spanish roots. While Barcelona carried many discoveries of things my mom had confirmed were favorite items of our grandma, including the almond candy...

This is a mix of video/photos of Bri and I's time exploring Barcelona when weren't doing any paid for events. We made it a goal to walk ourselves to the beach, being told it was a 15 minute walk from our hotel.... it was more of a 45 minute walk where the weather turned pretty dreary. I kind of enjoyed the longer walk though, as we ended up seeing some neat sights our driver had quickly pointed...

This was the excellent first activity of our second full day in Barcelona, Spain. We booked an excursion to both tour the famous market, La Boqueria Market Rambla, and then take some of the ingredients from that guided trip for our cooking class later. I do have that video in the works as I was originally going to have both in the same video. Realizing that would have been entirely too long, I ...

Paddleboarding Hotel Adventure 2024

While at the Wild Horse Pass Sheraton Hotel in Arizona, I discovered a few fun adventures could be had. One such adventure was renting a paddleboard and paddle boarding their mile long pool. It was lightly chlorinated so it did actually have some wildlife to be spotted. It was created to recreate the Gila river where you paddle one way for 1 mile and then paddle back for a total of 2 miles. I w...

How did you realise you had mites? Are they visible?
@elenaasimakopoulou1358 So they are visible when you really look, though if you were looking for them on an all black snake, it would be a challenge. I knew to look for them because I had one very lethargic acting snake, 2 snakes soaking wayyy to much for what had been their normal soaking amounts, and a full adult female shedding monthly. Her shedding so much was definitely not normal for an adult snake as they should only shed 2 to 3 times a year. Adult snakes shed more if sick or injured. I honestly should have checked even sooner then I did, but most mite infestations come.from introducing a new snake that already has them into the collection and I hadn't brought in any new snakes/animals into my collection for over a year at this point. I now suspect they were in the substrate somehow.
Love the pumpkin 🎃 🎃
Thank you! Got it on sale after Halloween. Best time to get new fun hides is after the holiday!
I love this video Hun ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ok
this may sound like a dumb question but, once you remove the snake from the dawn water, do you rinse them off under the sink or just dry them off? also, how do you keep them from getting the dawn in their eyes if they’re in it for an hour?
I typically just dry them off completely before putting them back into their enclosure, but this is a good thought to ponder a bit further. Dawn is very benign to use on snakes but also kills the mites because the soap chokes out the mites. I know of no ill effects from just drying them off after the soak as opposed to washing off the soap completely and then drying. As for their eyes, they have eye scales that cover their eyes that is also connected to the rest of their scales (if you look at a snake shed, you can see it's all one "wrapper" so to speak). So because of this they don't have the issue of getting soap in their actual eyes.
Great video! Keep it up!
Hey this place looks good
It was really pretty to see in the winter with all the ice. I guess they hold an annual ice climbing event here too. Was too early to see the event, but definitely something to go back and see in the future. Glad you enjoyed 😊
Revelations 8.7
Seems like an appropriate verse for this video for sure 😁
Thank you, this helps me 😊
Glad to know this video helps you out! If it helped in regards to how to fold these kayaks together. I'll also mention a few tricks to folding this kayak successfully. First you want to place the Kayak in direct sunlight when you first get your kayak. Work on folding each crease line or folding line well. After which, you can either roll it up or try to fold the whole kayak. First time is always the hardest, so if you have a guy to help fold, that is preferable. If not, using gloves and your leg strength over arm strength when you can is best. It may take awhile to do, but folding in direct sunlight at home first will make it a lot easier at the beach. Once you do successfully fold your kayak together, I would leave in the sun for a little while and then roll back up. Hopefully this helps you to fold successfully when you do it (if you haven't already). Stickers were easier to add to the kayak, just have to have some patience and a little planning on where you want things to be. I made sure nothing with over the folding lines or under the kayak as that would have worn away the stickers soon. Thanks for watching!
It's so pretty 😍
I know how you feel Hun 💗
I love this song

Hello, I just happened upon your tribute to your grandfather in my video feed and was inspired to take a look. It's obvious that your grandfather was a great man in many respects, not only from the pictures and video of various times in his life with you and your family but in the love and respect that shines through in your tribute and for the love and caring that he seems to have passed down to his family. I am sorry for your loss, but as inescapable as motality is for us all, your grandfather lives on in your memories of times spent with him and all the things he managed to teach - and learn - and the love that he showed and taught that has passed down in his lineage that will forever live on as his legacy, even to those of his line who may only experience it through the love and joy they experience from the mother and eventual grandmother that you shall become one day yourself! And that is something that reverberates throughout generations! Thank you for sharing, even with this stranger!
I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and respond to my video RJ. Your words were most welcome to me and I agree that his memory/lessons will live on. Thank you!
Beautiful day to hike!! 🌞 ❄️
It really was, not a lot of wind, the snow was traversable, and the sun warmed me up pretty wonderfully.
Any idea on how you got the mites.
I'm guessing it was either substrate or a new hide where I missed cleaning a part of it. Most the time, snake mites come from a new animal being brought in and not quarantining, but I didn't have a new animal in the last year. So that's my best guess. Great question!
Can you get chameleons there
,a cool video keep up the great content... Thank you….
Appreciate you watching! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
@@naturextreme4 Thank you very mutch... have a nice day.... see you….
This looks like a fun experience!!! I can't wait to attend the one in Lakeland, FL.
This was my second time doing a mud run. It is a lot of fun, but it's also nice that you can make the experience what you want it to be. I was with my sister who is recovering from a big surgery, so we took it at a bit of a slower pace. What I loved though is the amount of comradery there is around you.
@@naturextreme4 yessss we doing it more for the experience! We not gone be moving too fast lol. That's good your sister was able to complete the muddy dash after having a big surgery. Glad it was a great experience for you all and we can't wait to get dirty lol 😆.
@@rockingwithAPchannel Sounds like you'll have an amazing time!
Beautiful waves at the Hawk too.
Can't go wrong with filming waves. Always a relaxing video to go back to.
@@naturextreme4 I agree 100%.
Off-topic, but did this other guy have the camera lens on when he made his nature video? Where's the video? th-cam.com/video/kpbECMPSL2c/w-d-xo.html
It might have been on camera, but too dark to actually capture anything on video visually. That is my guess anyway. I've found that my GoPro 8 is horrible in low light, even if my eyes can pick things up well on a darker day or evening.
@@naturextreme4 That makes sense, thank you!
@@davepowder4020 No problem at all 😀

Thanks for visiting
@@naturextreme4 You're welcome! :)
Mine seems picky and didn't eat dead pinkie mice and im trying to figure out at what size of food should I switch her to dead? Any recommendations? She's currently eating larger fuzzy mice that are about the roundness of a quarter.
Depending on her age and weight will be a big determining factor for what size she should be eating. You definitely dont want to go as large with this species as others because they can't handle that as easily as other snakes (like kingsnakes). With that said, BRBs can handle fuzzies from the start. The breeder that I got my girl from, Trace Hardin, said to get them kick started on eating consistantly, you feed them one live mouse. After that they typically eat frozen thawed more consistantly. My girl wasnt eating consistantly for the first 2 1/2 months so I finally tried this recommended trick. Worked like a charm. I had to keep feeding her in a specific way if finding where she was buried, unbury her enough so her head was uncovered and then placing the mouse in front of her. I then covered her cage with a blanket and at night in the dark. She ate like this for a couple of months consistantly. Then she started going after the mouse more. I definitely recommend either going to Trace Hardins website where he speaks about this or joining the Facebook group Brazilian Rainbow Boa Domination. Many Breeders are on this group and they have all the care information you could want including a feeding chart in the groups information area. Also make sure your temps/humidity is spot on. If it's too warm they wont eat well. I keep my girls hotspot at 82 to 83 degrees. They like it colder then ither species. 85 is the max heat they can stand but honestly is still to hot. Anyway I wish you all the best and let me know if you have more questions :-D
looks good friend
